01.01.2022 Mindful March 'Time to pause, breathe and really take in what's all around us. This month we're encouraging you to take some time to look within. Learning to be more mindful and aware can do wonders for our well-being in all areas of life - like the way we eat, the things we notice or our relationships. It helps us get in tune with our feelings and stops us dwelling on the past or worrying about the future - so we get more out of the day-to-day. It can also help us identify what we're grateful for, which has been proven to help boost your happiness levels!' https://www.actionforhappiness.org/march
01.01.2022 Year 4 have been using open questions to interview an array of different people including Theseus who joined in to give the inside scoop about his triumphant battle with King Minos’ minotaur. Student 1: Why did you decide to slay the minotaur? Theseus: I couldn't stand the thought of any more poor, innocent children being sacrificed by that selfish King Minos. Student 1: What were you thinking when you slayed the deadly beat?... Theseus: Mamamia! I hope this beast gets tired before I do. Student 2: How did you slay the minotaur? Theseus: I used a shield and a sword with a ball of string to find my way out of the labyrinth. Student 3: How did you feel when you were slaying the minotaur? Theseus: Fear, like any man would, but I knew I had justice on my side. Student 4: If your dad was still alive where we would you be now? Theseus: If my dad were still alive he and I would be feasting on olives and fetter (sic) on a island of (sic) the mainland of Greece. Student 4: Why did you leave Ariadne on that island? Theseus: Well to be honest she was starting to irritate me and frankly I had enough. Thank you Theseus for your time, I know it is a valuable thing. And we thank you on behalf of all of the children who will not die at the hand of the minotaur."
