17.01.2022 Posted @withregram @feedrealmovement Let’s talk fresh, O I L Y #fish! #oilyfish . . Fish in general is a great source of protein, calcium, selenium, niacin a...nd Omega-3 fats for your dog. Omega-3 fatty acids in fish are a natural anti-inflammatory to the body making it great for joint issues and IBD issues. Fish is an easily digestible protein source for dogs, especially dogs following digestive upset since it is relatively low in saturated fats and empty calories (good for weight control). My six favorite fish to feed are sardines, smelts, herring, mackerel, salmon and anchovies. Although salmon isn’t necessarily a smaller fish, it is a fatty, oilier fish that’s safe to feed (as long as its not farmed). . . Longer lived fish species such as tuna and swordfish can contain heavy metals like mercury which builds up over time in the fish’s system and can lead to heavy metal toxicity. This is all why feeding a shorter-lived fish species is preferable to longer lived fish like tuna or swordfish! I also prefer feeding whole fish versus fish oil as you have to be extremely aware of the fish sourced for the oil, and also keep in mind that fish oil can go rancid quickly. . . As for feeding whole fish, theres some misconception about fish bones that i would like to address! You can feed RAW fish bones around flesh safely but ALWAYS monitor your dog when feeding! ALWAYS check the sourcing of your fish before feeding since poor quality or intensively farmed means toxin levels in the fish. Do NOT feed farmed salmon because of large volumes of antibiotics, so you will want to make sure you always buy wild salmon. Freeze fish for at least a week (two weeks preferably) before feeding it to help eliminate any possible parasites! You can feed fresh fish whole and raw two or three times a week. Be sure to always monitor when feeding. . . Not all dogs take a liking to fish, but there are ways to still get omegas! You can feed green lipped mussel powder, phytoplankton or spirulina! . . Stay tuned for 1 post a day for 6 days on so See more
15.01.2022 This beautiful young boy is now available to the best of homes. He is 9 months of age fully vaccinated and wormed regularly. He is crate trained as well as lead trained (were still working on the sit part ) Amos is a quite natured boy who would love a couch to call his own.... While he would prefer company of a friend or someone that works from home this is not a definite. Please private message us if you are seriously interested in giving this boy his forever home
11.01.2022 HOW MUCH FOR A PUPPY? Let me say a few words to you, yes you, the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who calls and after hearing a price states: I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere. I also address you: The person who doesn’t care about papers because I want just a pet. No dog is just a pet.... Behind every pure bred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder does not breed dogs without papers, which does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration papers are records of lineage that document bloodline and allow one to research any possible health issues present in the lineage. When you tell a breeder you don’t care about papers what you’re really telling them is you couldn’t care less about the health of the puppy; you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you buy a puppy from a reputable, quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup - both dogs owned and every pup they’ve sold - for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for their dogs. The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client who owns a piece of their heart and is now a member of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question. A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about. In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, echos, xrays, analysis, emergency c-sections, vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, de-worm, as well as microchip their puppies and get them evaluated by specialists. Last, but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their puppies. Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a breeder has made, so they need to be confident it's the right fit.Often, it means saying "no," more than yes. A good breeder has different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline. Why? Breeding is not a responsibility to be taken lightly. It’s a lifestyle choice set aside ONLY for the few devoted people willing to sacrifice. A dog is never: Just a pet. It’s the breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s best friend, a little girl's protector, an elderly person's therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world!!! 03.01.2022 To our Remy These past 24 hours have been our quietest. The part of our heart you took with you, your now empty spot in the sunshine of the yard and our now quiet dinner times we will miss you more than you know our old man. It was quick but you told us it was time, now we wish we had more. ... We will see you again one day Remy, wait for us there with your kindest eyes and waggiest tail. There are so many stories to tell, the list is endless. We will remember them with tears but happiness of the joy in better times. My ultimate show dog and always the bestest friend Golden Eyes When golden eyes no longer glow, and we both know it’s time to go, Don’t look at me with eyes so sad, but think of better times we had, When sunlight did upon us shine, and happy days were yours and mine, And through the grass we both did run, and on our backs we felt the sun, Think not of this dark final hour, think not of when our lives turned sour, Think not of hopelessness and pain, but think of joy and laugh again, For in that final act of love, you released me to heaven above, Where finally from pain I’m free, where one day you will join with me, Where together again we will rejoice, and you and I as with one voice, Will in perfect harmony sing, of the joy and pain that love can bring, And remember me just as I will, always think of you until, At last again I see your face, grieve not, I am in a better place. (Author- Carol Walker) Run free Remy, run free Loved endlessly by Vicki, Barry (dec) & Amanda Bred and loved by Lois & Cinnamon Clark
