24.01.2022 PATIO EXTENSION : FIRST ROOF INSTALLATION Definitely wasn't sure about this roof installation in the beginning but with a very tight timeframe and no body to turn too. 21.01.2022 SHOP REVAMP: Originally a basic flat gyprock top to bottom wall. Using a grind and a vacuum for dust extraction. All the walls in the shop were cut to the clients desired height. MDF interior wall sheeting was installed and the gap covered with timber jamb to give the shop a hamiltion style look. 18.01.2022 FULL GLASS SUN ROOM RENO MODERN CHILL ROOM Started off by elevate the floor to finish flush with the existing floor in the family room. Then framed around all lower windows before gyprocking the entire room. While the gyprock got set, painted and electricians did the wiring for the lights, I started on the exterior. I frabricated all lower windows frames with steel. Then sarked the exposed steel frame to water proof it and prep it for cladding. Cladding sheets were then ...cut to size and screwed on before finishing it off with a aluminum L corner stop. External silicon was then apply to all opening/gaps to water tight it. 18.01.2022 PATIO EXTENSION COMPLETE My largest project I've ever attempted by far. From A to Z I can definitely say this was one rollcoaster of a job, having plenty of ups and downs. I could have definitely been more organised and schedules my trades better but on the bright side I'm now more confident at installing roofs, plastering and getting a job done overall. 12.01.2022 REGROUTING SHOWER TILE FLOOR Grout between tiles were originally cracked and moldy, where water was entering beneath the tiles. Grout was completely removed and let air for 24 hours to completely dry to prevent future erosion of the tiles and water damage. 05.01.2022 PHASE 2 SOLO PATIO EXTENSION !!! FRAMING, ROOFING, WATERPROOFING, CLADDING & SLIDER & WINDOW INSTALLATION Started by framing the walls and pitching the roofing frames. Then after giving up on finding a roofer, I measured, ordered and installed my FIRST whole roofing system. After I reinstall the existing slider and custom window into the frame. I then sarked/ waterproofed the exterior walls and started installing the exterior cladding sheets. It was then time for some... moulding around the slider and window to finish off the exterior finishing. I then jammed and moulded the opening where the sliding door was originally fixed to open the kitchen into the patio. definitely a packed and stressful few days to maintain schedule. 03.01.2022 FULL BALUSTRADE & DECK REVAMP !!! started by demolishing the whole deck and balustrade before removing and replacing all deck joist that had rotted out. All post were then removed and replaced because that was also rotting. A roll of waterproofing was then nailed onto the top of the deck joist before the deck was screwed down. 02.01.2022 PHASE 3 : ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, GYPROCK, PLASTERING, PAINTING & STAINING DECKING LEARNING AS A GO !!! Got an electrian to wire 1 fan, 2 lights, 1 power socket and a plumber to reroute the tap to the exterior wall. I then gyprocked the ceilings and got the electrian to install the fan and both lights. The walls were then gyprocked and I got my uncle to help me install the corners along the perimeter of the ceiling and walls. I then finished the rest of the moulding and ...after giving up on finding a plasterer I started plastering the whole room. Between each coat of plaster I sealed and painted the exterior walls. After finishing plastering and sanding I then painted the interior and stained the exterior and interior deck. (Considering I've only ever plastered small holes.
