24.01.2022 Oh my goodness!!! What a fabulous weekend! I had the pleasure of photographing 20 beautiful families ranging from new families with 4 old new babies, newly married couples with their doggos, single parents with kids and pets, and even 3 generation families, and those with older kids. It was the best and such a successful event! This is just a small snippet of the Christmas magic we got to create!... Amongst my day yesterday, I also managed to squeeze in a beautiful Christening for one of my past wedding couples. But more on that later... So today, I've been recovering on the couch nursing a nasty neck ache, but seeing all these photos, it was all worth it! They're bringing me such a great smile to my face and giving me the warm fuzzies I'm so excited to get everyone's galleries uploaded by the end of the week and to see which ones my families will choose as their favourites. 24.01.2022 My Pap. I finally have some beautiful (recent) photos of him and us! He lives interstate so I only get to see him every few years. So we chat on the phone and our conversations are either 90 secs short to check in, or much lengthier because he loves to lecture me all about his alternative natural therapies and his very opinionated views on the world. He needs to write a book in my opinion... Hes got some gold in there... ... Hes a terrible listener and is ridiculously stubborn ( I get my stubbornness from him ). But hes also a BIG softie on the inside, and of course, hes my Dad, so I love him to bits! Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads, father-figures, Mums also taking on the dad roles, step-dads, fur dads, you name it! Its been so lovely seeing my Instagram and Facebook pages being filled today with photos I took of my Brides and Grooms with their gorgeous Fathers. "Exceptional standard, phenomenal talent, fabulous service and by far the best in business. From the start Erica was everything in one, she was a friend, stylist, hair dresser, our florist on the morning of, and an amazing photographer whose love for the job is shown in every wedding she does. ... Erica was always willing to give her help and advice. The customer service she gives to her clients is phenomenal, every email was answered, every Instagram message was acknowledged and she always greeted us with the biggest smile whether itd be via face time or in person. The morning of our wedding Erica took it upon herself to contact all our vendors to come earlier as she could see us running out of time. By the time she advised me - every single one of our vendors had already been notified. Love always Jess and Wes xx" Side note and back story... the comment about the timing - since this wedding was down south, I did a test run the day before to make sure I knew exactly where I was meant to be, and since Jess & Wes wanted to go to a particular spot at the beach (the first photo with the rocks) I also had to take into consideration how long it was going to take to walk from the carpark, to the location and back up hill again. They had quite a late ceremony, and once I discovered the major timing issue, I contacted all suppliers and family to change the pre-ceremony timeline slightly so everyone could be ready earlier, so the ceremony could start perfectly on time. Once I did my timing tests the day before, I could see the timeline was a disaster waiting to happen if I hadnt intervened, and this wouldve meant a lot less time for the location shoot, a ceremony running late and likely a reception running late too. I had the pleasure of photographing Alessia's Baptism for my past wedding couple, Veronica & Matt. It felt just like a family reunion having photographed 3 other weddings for their family! 20.01.2022 Hello lovelies! I'm so, so excited to share with you my 2020 slideshow! Earlier this week I did a poll asking you if you wanted me to keep it to weddings only (like I've always done, but in 2020 I didn't get to shoot as many weddings as usual thanks to the C word), or if you'd be interested in seeing ALL my shoots from 2020. 19.01.2022 Wedding season officially starts for me on Tuesday with a small, intimate wedding at a private residence with 20 guests. I already know shooting this seasons upcoming weddings is going to feel very different, but Im so, so excited to be surrounded by happy people again, celebrating life and such special occasions. 19.01.2022 I can't guarantee that your future kids won't laugh at your outfit or hair style choices 20 years from your wedding day, but I can guarantee that your photos will be edited in a very natural manner so they won't laugh at the funky processing choices Throwback to Anita & Micheal's 80's non-wedding. These lovers finally get to tie the knot for real next month, after the *c* word forced them to postpone their wedding in April last year. They got dressed up for a bit of fun anyway to commemorate their original wedding date, and there was no way I wasn't going to be a part of it! They're my first wedding back for 2021, and I'm sooooooo looking forward to it!

Have you been? I highly recommend it for high tea or a staycation, and absolutely a must on your wedding night and for getting ready! I promise you will be thankful you stayed here

18.01.2022 It's show time tomorrow for Gina & Yianni! They get to experience seeing their engagement photos for the first time on the BIG screen! During their design consultation, we'll carefully look through all the photos, and they'll get to choose their favourites! Once the selection process is done, I'll guide them on the best way to display them, taking into consideration their new home which is currently being built, and any other ways they may decide to disp...lay them (and consider gifts for family too). Here is a throwback to Chantell & Kade's order from their own engagement shoot a while back. They opted for a guest book/album, a framed tryptic to be displayed above a hallway table, an ice block (gift wrapped - see next photo to see what they are) and their USB from the shoot as well. 17.01.2022 Whenever I ask couples what attracted them to my work, they usually say its because my style is natural, relaxed, in the moment and classic. But this photo here is about as stylised and posed as you can get, yet everyone loves it. Posing doesnt have to be a dirty word. ... I still believe theres such a stigma around it when it comes to wedding photography, and let me tell you, I bet about 80% of the photos you see on socials have had some kind of posing or at the very least direction from the photographer in order to make them happen and look as natural as they do. They dont just magically happen without any kind of interaction from the photographer. The relationship between couple and photographer is a HUGE deal breaker in order to get photos that are perfectly YOU and natural. If youre not comfortable with your photographer, you can kiss all those beautiful photos youve seen on their website goodbye cos youll probably feel awkward and uncomfortable, and I can assure you that feeling shows from the inside out, and in your photos. So, back to this unashamedly totally posed photo of Liana & Gene, looks as epic as it does, not just because of the incredible styling and lighting, but because they were comfortable and trusted me to be in their own little love bubble while I created this beautiful moment for them So, let me ask you this.... Last year when we got married, we had all our nephews celebrate with us (plus all our family was overseas, so in a way, we had to ~ but we did want them there as well!).
