25.01.2022 Hi all, Just a note that if you suddenly decide to attend the Christmas Party tomorrow and haven't already RSVP'd or brought a plate there will be a $10 charge per person on the day.

24.01.2022 Holly Parker (13), David Simcock (14) and James Parker (10), three of Erina Archery Club's junior members all took out top 3 placings in a recent Nationwide competition that involved 53 Archery Clubs across Australia. This is a great result for us and is a fantastic testament to how hard they have worked at their sport. The competition - titled 'Back to Archery' took place over 6 weekends and the best 2 scores from each archer contributed to their final results in a handicap ...and actual score event. In their divisions, David and James both placed 1st in handicap, David 6th in actual scores and James 3rd. Holly who was selected for the NSW Junior Archery Team earlier this year came second in both handicap and actual scores. It was a great achievement for these three, who continue to perform really well and are great ambassadors for the sport and our club.

24.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Morris. Roy was one of the founders of the Gosford Archery Club along with Robert (Robbie) Vickers in the early 1960. Gosford Archery Club eventually was renamed Erina Archery Club. Roy served as the initial Club President. Both Roy and his daughter Maxine were keen archers. Maxine being the youngest archer on the Central Coast at the time.... Roy was a well-known and much loved local character in the Lisarow area and will be sadly missed. Erina Archery Club would not be here today if it was not for Roy. Sadly Roy’s wife Eileen also passed away a few months before Roy. Our thoughts and prayers go to Maxine and Roy’s family.

23.01.2022 A really nice day at the Club today. Final round of the National 'Back to Archery' event followed by our Christmas and Presentation event which was a bit different this year. Instead of the formal sit down meal in the evening, we had a picnic lunch, some activities and this was followed by the presentation. Adrian brought boomerangs and we all had some fun with those.... Everyone's contribution for the food was perfect. AND while the organisation of the event was very last minute, everyone had a great time and it worked really well! Well done to everyone that received a trophy!

23.01.2022 We really need volunteers

18.01.2022 I have just been notified that one of our life members Barrie Bailey has passed away. He was a great archer and supporter of our club and the sport. Personally he helped me on several occasions for which I am truly grateful. Barrie was also a clearance diver during the Vietnam war, you will see in the accompanying photo the acronym MID, this stands for Mentioned in Dispatches and is a high military honour typically given out when acts of bravery are performed. If the family is open to our members attending Barrie's funeral and provides me with the details, I will post them here. Rest in Peace mate.

17.01.2022 Time is running out if you would like to order one of these for Christmas - make sure to place your order ASAP! If you would like one, please register your expression of interest by visiting going to the Coast Archers Website: https://www.coastarchers.com.au/softshellvests

12.01.2022 Hi all, due to a forecast thunderstorm tomorrow, I would like to start earlier than normal if possible. So we can all aim to arrive at the club, that will help! Thanks, Barry

11.01.2022 Some of the Erina Archery Club Members are also members of Coast Archers and have recently taken part in a National Event which comprised of six shoots. We did well, very well. The youngest archer is 10 and the eldest, well he is 'in retirement!', but also a sharp shooter. Here is how we finished up. These are the scores for first second and third. We had other archers also do very well with many in the top 10. The Back to Archery Event was by far one of the most innovative c...ompetitions to date especially given the chaos that Covid 19 presented to us this year. Coast Archers had a great turnout for every event and we did quite well Back to Archery National Event Final Placings. 1, 2 and 3rd places - Coast Archers. 10.01.2022 We are looking at purchasing some softshell vests to complement both Erina and Coast Archers uniforms. They are lightly water repellent, windproof and fleece lined The logos will be embroidered. Okay the weather is getting warmer, but this will make an ideal Christmas present for some of us ready for next season. The cost will be $48.50 each*... We have two versions Coast Archers and Erina Archery Club We are looking to place the order in late October so we can get them by Christmas. If you would like one, please register your expression of interest by visiting going to the Coast Archers Website: https://www.coastarchers.com.au/softshellvests

01.01.2022 Dear members, The COVID-19 situation is fast moving and the Committee is monitoring this very carefully. Our membership demographic is particularly vulnerable to this virus and we need to take that into account.... The NSW Government has just announced that all non-essential services are to close. While some would like to think Archery is an essential service, it is not. The Leagues club would also likely close with these new NSW Government measures. We cannot operate without toilets. It should also be noted that shared toilets are the likely places where the virus will spread. While we will definitely close the field if the League Club closes, we believe that it would be prudent to close the field effective immediately for all organised club events. That would include Saturday calendar shoots, Interclub events, and any beginner classes. The field closure will be reviewed at the end of April based on the situation at that time The field will remain open for practice only at this time, but with restrictions of only 1 archer per target. This will be policed by members themselves. This may also be reviewed if the situation changes. Under no circumstances should any member come to the field if they are not feeling well, even for practice. Keep safe. Regards Committee Erina Archery Club
