Big dreams and goals are great but they can often come at the expense of the joy that can be found in the little things along the way. By embracing and giving meaning to the funny, pleasurable interactions I have each day I intend to create a more fulfilled and contented life. As I’m very much in favour of people making and owning their choices, 2021 is my year to add balance back into my life.... 2020 was full of crisis management and plans that had to be unmade so this year I’ve joined a pilates class, set aside some time to get a massage and returned to my volunteer activity. 03.01.2022 An update from Dr Elise @drelisemc ... 'My focus for 2021 = E l i s e 3.0 I'm making 'upgrades' in my life. Similiar to when you upgrade your phone to a newer model, I’m looking at what 'old model' things in my life I’ve been putting up with and upgrading them where I can.... Not only are these 'upgrades' making life more enjoyable (and easier) but they are also helping me to push boundaries and try new things. This was definitely the case with the @teamschallengeaustralia challenge. I was terrified to get back on a bike, and now I’m considering getting one because I absolutely loved it! Big examples of my upgrades are: A new laptop! I was putting up with a 10 year old one. Moving house! Not to a newer or fancier space, but to one that has more of what I really want in my lifestyle - a garden and space to entertain, great sunshine, and closer to friends Using my days off for down time and self care (not just getting chores done).
