10.01.2022 #fat is your friend ladies (and gents)! I could do a whole soap box rant about fat and its benefits but Ill save that for another time. Dont be afraid of including food forms of fat in your diet - theyre good for your trust me! Transfats, found in highly processed foods and fried foods can definitely be kicked to the kerb as the body cant figure out what to do with them so commonly sends them to the liver to sit tight (hello Fatty Liver ) until it can work out where to send it to do something useful for the body. 05.01.2022 I wanted to stay here this morning. Do you have those mornings? Too many visits from tiny people during the night. Back & neck pain from crappy hotel pillows while away. A massive to-do list that was starting to feel overwhelming & lets not even talk about the post-holiday piles of washing. Yep I easily could have pulled the covers back up & hid for the day. I didnt of course because, you know, kids! The last 15 years or so have been a journey of discovery. Of seeking help when Ive needed it & digging deep, and somethings ugly, in understanding myself, my triggers & what I need. Even more so since having kids. 03.01.2022 Does this sound familiar? I have been here before. Feeling like total crap but told there’s nothing wrong with me. Or to repeat blood tests in 3 months because the numbers aren’t quite low enough to do anything about in the medical world thankfully my degree included some #pathology interpretation & always ask for a copy to keep for my own records (this is your right as a patient btw). What I love about #holistichealthcare is that we look at function and drivers of dysfunction taking your whole health picture into consideration - ummm hello, your symptoms aren’t nothing!
