18.01.2022 FULL MOON IN CANCER As the full moon arrives at 2.28pm today, you may have noticed pains in your heart, or have craved nourishment, whether that is in the form of friendship or food. Cancer is a sign that is sensitive in its nature, which can be a beautiful gift. I used to think my sensitivity was a curse, but as I've become more comfortable with showing my vulnerability, others have been given the gift to feel more authentic and connected themselves. Time on your own or ...with close friends is important during this full moon, so you can feel replenished and restored. Give yourself the nourishment you need, like sticky date pudding or a warm hug from someone you trust. As the sun travels through the sign of Capricorn we also tap into the energy of discipline, so be aware of the fight between giving yourself permission to nourish yourself and the 'shoulds' that you tell yourself. Release the to do list, or the pressure that you put on yourself in order to rejuvenate and begin a new year with balance. It's the perfect time to get your witchy on and take 15 minutes to yourself to write down what you need to clear, to clarify. 14.01.2022 When I returned to my home town after living overseas for years, I joined a meditation group. Every Wednesday morning I went to The Seahorse Cottage. I was always racing to get there, not having had breakfast and forgetting the ten dollar note I needed to give Lyndsey. But I showed up, week after week. I had no idea what I was doing, I didn’t know how to meditate, but there was something so magical in meeting these women every week.... Lynsey eventually made the Meditation group exclusive to us 10 lucky ladies. We would then meet at her beautiful home just down the road from my parents house, where I was living. I looked forward to the tea and biscuits after the meditation where we got to chat and connect with one another. These women had so many experiences, being much older than me, and I loved how they accepted and encouraged me. We were all so different. All going through something at some point in our meet ups. Looking back on this time, this group shaped the way I hold circles for women now. I realise I do things in a very similar way. Like it has been passed down to me - a lineage and rites of passage. Not knowing it at the time. But only now that I look back on this time, 10 years later. I’d like to acknowledge Lyndsey, where ever she may be, now she is in the other world. She was a powerful witch, who was so loving and guided me in my mid twenties. And to all the women in the circle, especially Hels- another great witch who always, without fail, is my biggest cheerleader. There are many people we will meet along our path. We may not know it at the time, but all of them, will shape us some way or another. So be kind, my pretties - especially to yourself. 08.01.2022 I drowned in the heavy words of my overactive mind. For 7 days I was stuck in a hole of depression, just me and my ego, overwhelming my heart. She told me I was doing it wrong.... She told me not to trust him. She told me she was ashamed of me. She told me I would never find a man. She told me to stay in the comfort. Don’t go where it is unknown. She projected onto my heart things that where programmed into her psyche. She thought she was protecting me. But really she was hurting me. After 7 days of fighting with her, trying to keep her out with good habits, and healthy food, I had to let her in. I surrendered to the uncomfortable process. I released my structured and tidy schedule. I released my work goals, and I bowed down to the process. I went to visit a medicine woman and with the help of the plant kingdom I was cleansed of the thoughts that polluted my mind. For the next three beautiful and silent hours I sat with myself and listened. I felt my body again. I can feel my feet. The fog has lifted and I can see again. As I walk forward I lead with love, a brave and vulnerable path. I am committing to bowing my ego to my heart. I’m listening to my heart. I’m saying less, and standing softly as love. Balance of your sun and your moon, your yin and your yang, your dark and the light within you. Quite timely, as we have just passed the Equinox - the perfect balance of night and day.... During this time, be careful not to give in to somebody else's requests for balance, you must be aware of what you need to stay healthy, energised and well. When you are tired, you will give in easier, and your boundaries will crack. You will then find yourself sick, or irritated, and so Libra is here for you to find whats just right, but you must stand up for your what you need. When they have felt free to express ... When they have felt safe to release When they have felt safe to surrender to the unknown within them Wow, this is a beautiful sight. I’m grateful to have sat and witnessed women dance, scream, cackle, call out in pleasure. I am grateful for having being witnessed, by both women and men, in this pure unbound state of wild. My wish is to see all women realise a power in them; that all women have the opportunity to be seen and not judged; that all women walk tall, embodying this raw, natural beauty.
