23.01.2022 [ Pain free ] Finally back to training with no pain but having to work around some on-going Mum Life niggles. So for now I'll keep trapbar deadlifting until my shoulders feel ok to get back on the barbell. Here's 60kg, 8 reps for my 4th and final set. I will stick with this rep scheme and slowly increase each session.

15.01.2022 [ Yogurt ] I've struck gold and finally found a yogurt that both my kids like that's not full of sugar Are you reading the nutritional labels on the foods you buy? Most yogurts contain a shed load of sugar, especially the ones marketed for kids (some up to 26g per 100g!!!!! ). ... Avoid low fat yogurts as they generally have to add more sugar to make them palatable! Full fat all day, everyday!!!

08.01.2022 [ Ectomorph ] In true ectomorph fashion, I've lost 2.5kg since not being able to train properly due to pelvic issues. Obviously not the worst problem to have but if you're like me and are a hard gainer you can see where my frustration lies. Being an ectomorph means I have no issues getting lean but when you long to pack on some muscle and be strong AF seeing your weight go down can be a little frustrating. Add breastfeeding to the mix and I sometimes feel like I'm fighting a ...losing battle, but I won't give up and from next week I'll be back firing at On a side note, the colour of this new bikini from Billabong

06.01.2022 [ Pimp your Plank ] Finding the good ol' traditional plank is not as challenging as it used to be? Grab a Swiss ball and give stirring the pot a try! When elbows are at 6 o'clock make sure they are directly below elbows... Shoulders, hips and knees in a straight line Glutes engaged, abs switched on and drawn in towards your spine and maintain big, even belly breaths Circle forearms in one direction then the other. Here I am doing 8 reps each side *NB. This is not a post natal exercise

Add these to your next session where you are wanting to target your glutes and hamstrings Ensure your shoulder blades act as thy pivot point on the bench and the shin of the working leg is perpendicular to the ground... Driving the foot of the working leg in to the floor, raise your hips up to the ceiling Make sure your hips come up to the point that you form a straight line to the shoulders and knee I also try to focus on a posterior tilt of my pelvis just before I reach full hip extension. This will help target the glutes and less work from the erector spinae I first did 10 reps on each leg of Bulgarian Split squats super setted with 15 reps on each leg of these bad boys
