Drawing on her experiences as a fashion model and businesswoman, FEMME is one womans search for self within the cacophony of gender and sexual conditioning that surrounds us. Winner of Best Dance in the 2019 Adelaide Fringe, FEMME explores concepts of femininity and female sexuality, the female body, the gender roles we conform to, or break against, and what it means to be powerful in a largely masculine dominant culture. 05.01.2022 Had such a wonderful @qoya.love workshop today as part of the Reykjavk Fringe Festival My first international Qoya class and it was such a joy. The theme was Gentleness which was perfect as Ive been finding myself getting a bit overwhelmed and hard on myself with this tour, trying to be perfect at everything and get everything I possibly can done even though Im literally a one woman show at the moment. Its always so amazing to be reminded of the joy, nourishment and wisdom that comes when women simply join together. And to feel that on the other side of the world today was real cool.
