07.01.2022 We had a small ceremony and catch up today to commemorate the arrival of the Erin-go-Bragh 158 years ago. Representatives of the Rafter / Deering, Burke / Swords and Kelly families met to thank our ancestors and crew and to remember the many lives lost. Thoughts are turning to a possible 160th Anniversary celebration on St Helena Island in 2022.

06.01.2022 The Flanagan family shillelagh was brought out on the Erin-go-Bragh by Anthony Flanagan. It is on display at the Rathdowney Information Centre and Historical Museum along with other Flanagan family treasures. Thanks to John Flanagan (L photo 1) for allowing my father and I to visit and hold this precious piece of Erin-go-Bragh history a couple of years ago. Are there any other items carried on the Erin-go-Bragh on public display around Queensland?
