A beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a fireplace and a view of the mountains, hot pools to warm the body after a great day of skiing, cocktails and delicious food at the newly refurbished Alto restaurant...we would have loved to stay longer!! A lot of people want to travel within Australia this year and there are plenty of great options to consider: - Take a trip on the legendary Ghan, there are different itineraries for North and South bound travel.... - Uluru has an amazing array of experiences available, you can spend a day with the traditional Uluru family and learn about their culture and homelands. Or take a Segway tour around the base of Uluru. - Walk around the rim of Kings Canyon, learn about the bush tucker and traditional medicine of the Luritja and Pertame (Southern Aranda) people at Karrke or go hot air ballooning over the desert and West MacDonnell ranges. - Darwin and Kakadu offer incredible wildlife safaris, airboating, helifishing (yep, you can go on a fishing tour by helicopter!) and cruises to visit the turtle nesting grounds on Ngulbitjik (Bare Sand Island). You can even cage dive with saltwater crocodiles!
