22.01.2022 Happy New Year! Our doors are open welcoming everyone back from a lovely Christmas break. With big smiles and lots of energy we are ready for another incredible year at Erlibyrds. Soon we farewell all our preschoolers still with us as they head off to school with much excitement. Our new rooms and teams will take off ensuring each child’s experience with us will be one of sincerity, joy, nurturing and respect. ... With the sun drenching our beautiful outdoor spaces this week, what better way to cool the souls than by installing mist sprays..... for all yards and ages to enjoy! 2021- we are ready for you!!!!!

20.01.2022 Well that’s a wrap! School ready.... ABSOLUTELY!!!! This last group farewelled us today and marks the end of long relationships we have had with these families. A sad farewell also to these incredible ladies- two grandparents that have cheered and supported the rise of Erlibyrds ....since day 1....all the way!!!!! Thank you Extended family is the greatest blessing to a family and child’s life. We have loved watching these connections and ...will miss our afternoon chats at pick up time! Come back and visit soon..... Fly high Lyrebyrds..... a beautiful world awaits you

17.01.2022 What a week!!!’ Bookweek- curious creatures , wild minds encouraged all children and educators to share with us ,their favourite characters and stories. Fostering a love of reading and storytelling enhances and stimulates children’s literacy and language development. The Lyrebyrd preschoolers created their own wild things characters using natural brown paper. The story Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak ,was read with 14 Wild Things rolling their terrible eye...s, nashing their terrible teeth and roaring their terrible roars! We also registered for the back yard bird count - being-an Erlibyrd...we thought this was a wonderful opportunity for children to be active participants in their local community environment and the wildlife that surrounds us. 1.8 million birds perished in the bush fires- our statistics of bird sightings for the week will be sent to Birdlife Australia Organisation to assist with research. Let the photos tell the story and joy of the week. Erlibyrds...... a beautiful community to enrich your child’s learning.

16.01.2022 What a way to start our NAIDOC celebrations at Erlibyrds. This morning all classes joined together to enjoy Lucas Proudfoot - Circular Rhythm show. Through music, dancing, instruments and storytelling the children became one with the Bundjalung culture and history. We danced like emus and jumped like kangaroos- to the distinctive sound from the didgeridoo. These beats rang through the hallways accompanied by wonderful guitar chords- creating a blend of contemporary music with traditional aboriginal sounds, music, imagery and instruments.

15.01.2022 I think these photos speak for themselves. The value and joy our preschoolers are gaining from our weekly visits to the outdoor classroom- Ark Park has been incredible. With NAIDOC week being recognised next week, the link we have created between the indoor and outdoor learning spaces have seamlessly transitioned into one. From pushing our scooters down to the fields ready for safety and wheels day, humpy’s made by small hands with elements found around the fields, to tasting fresh honey recently split from the hive- Tonita Schroeder- thank you!!!! How good is learning under the big blue sky! Preschool Lyrebyrds - nature warriors.

09.01.2022 October is known as breast cancer awareness month. It’s that time when we think PINK and raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment. To wrap up a busy October - we wanted Erlibyrds to acknowledge such an important cause and play our small part. We have set up a grab and go morning tea for all families to treat themselves.... everyday this week! Our boob jar is filling with gold coins and Erlibyrds will contribute to this as well. ... We all know of someone who has battled or been effected by this terrible illness. Any little gesture that we can do as a community- we will do! A shout out to Brooke Annand..... thank you for so quickly making us our beautiful take home pink ribbon biscuits! Communities standing together Erlibyrds

02.01.2022 Love from all the Erlibyrds team

02.01.2022 So...,. As the new year begins, what a great time to really reflect and truely ask yourself- where do I see myself this year? We have made some changes to our rooms which means we are employing more educating staff. Great news for children, families and teams -as our staff to child ratios will be very generous. If you are wanting a change- to be challenged, to professionally grow, to be inspired and to work closely in a small and supportive team- Erlibyrds is waiting for y...ou. Best of all- you will be valued and appreciated. Contact us on [email protected] Casual and permanent work opportunities available. We look forward to meeting you

01.01.2022 Normally when we post it’s all about our Erlibyrds children. Well today- it’s about the big kids ....the ones we have the absolute pleasure in working side by side with each week. We capped off breast cancer awareness month by dressing in pink to wrap up our pink morning tea! Nothing like a mix of pink and Halloween , on a Friday to cap of a pretty crazy but exciting month! Bring on November!!!!!
