25.01.2022 A challenge to reach 20 points in less than 2 minutes, extra time on the playground equipment and a special treat from the canteen for positive behaviour in the playground. Congratulations to our token winners for Week 10!
24.01.2022 We're underway! The Ermington Public Elocutionists are up against The Ermington Public Persuaders in a great debate about mindfulness. We are lucky enough to be able to hear the great ideas after only 1 hour of preparation. EPS are very proud of our debaters!
23.01.2022 In science this term, Stage 3 have been learning all about different forces. Today's experiment involved the 'floating force', buoyancy! Here's 5M in action testing out different boats made from aluminium foil. One boat managed to hold 990 grams!
23.01.2022 Debating through Zoom is a different way to debate, however very important as our students continue to have the opportunity to develop strengths in matter, method and manner!

13.01.2022 For the last day of term, the weather was fantastic and Stage 3 were able to hold the finals of the Netball and Soccer competitions that have been running throughout Term 3. There was a great vibe in the air and smiles on many faces. Congratulations to 6C on winning the competition! We all loved watching the sportsmanship and skill on display today. Well done to all students that did their best in the competition throughout the term!

12.01.2022 Snoregust! What great pyjama day fun had by students and teachers!
12.01.2022 Stage 2 have been learning and refining their reading comprehension strategies. Over the past couple of weeks they have been working on questioning. Asking and answering questions, as a reader, helps to engage them with a text. Here, 3W are doing 'Hot Seat Interviews', where a group member has become a 1928 character from the text they are studying, and their collaborative group are asking them 'Thick' and 'Thin' questions that they developed together.

10.01.2022 This term in science, Stage 1 students have been exploring how everyday materials and objects can be physically changed in a variety of ways. The students engaged in a number of hands-on experiments where they had the opportunity to bend, twist, stretch, squash and heat materials and objects. Here is 2/1Ws claymation that they presented at the Stage 1 Assembly today. We have no doubt you will be impressed with their learning!
10.01.2022 It's wellbeing day! What a great day for Year 5 and Year 6 to get together to build relationships and talk about wellbeing!
08.01.2022 These students enjoyed connecting their learning inside the classroom to outside the classroom and are developing ideas about how our vegetable and herb gardens can support the school canteen.
08.01.2022 After looking at diagrams and reading informative texts, 2/1W students were able to build upon their knowledge to be experts on the dragonfly. An innovative way to show how we understand what we read.
08.01.2022 There was a strong magnetic pull coming from one of our classrooms this morning. Students were designing, testing and evaluating in full force!
07.01.2022 4L had a wonderful time planning their group artworks using recycled bottle caps. We have a feeling that their final products will be quite cap-tivating!

01.01.2022 5M loves a good STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) challenge! With limited materials, they had to design and build a free-standing bridge across a 30cm gap. The students then tested to see how much weight each bridge could hold. Such clever and creative designs, well done!
