16.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW The reason the barber pole is red and blue is because leeches would be placed on a person wherever they had pain. After blood was taken by the leeches the leeches would be moved inside the pole (glass jar) and mixed with water. The blood would swirl down to the glass jar creating the colour of the stripes you see in the modern barber pole today. The leeches were then ready to be used again. ... Did you know barbers used to perform surgery, tooth extraction, circumcision, osteopath work, blood letting oh and cutting men and women's hair. We didnt keep all our In one basket! We are very excited to reopen back on Friday the 11th of December (if nothing changes with the Gov) In order to play our part in fighting this virus we have decided to use an online booking system called Nearcut. The Nearcut app lets you book an appointment from your phone for yourself and family. It takes less than a minute to do and saves you long queues and waiting times. 01.01.2022 Lockdown 2!! Right folks! As you have all heard we will be closed for upto 3 weeks as per the Scottish Gov announcement.... I have been very busy today and expect the same till Friday 6pm when we have to close. In order to accommodate everyone I will be open 9:30 to 7:30 for the next few days. Average cut time is 15 mins and skin fades is 20 mins. Attend soon to avoid disappointment and prevent anyone else having to give you a 'lockdown haircut' Please stay safe. EBS
