10.01.2022 NAIL EDUCATION Your natural nails can be significantly damaged in the wrong hands! I’m sure at some point you have heard the horror stories - from friends, family or work colleagues where they have been left in pain or with damage to their nails or skin. As a professional I hear these stories way too often!! ... Unfortunately a lot of places aren’t always qualified in all the services they offer, and just because they have a ‘commercial’ set up or a ‘home’ set up salon does not mean the quality is better in one than the other and does not guarantee they care about not damaging your nails. Not everyone offering nails (or brows, or waxing) is qualified, and even worse some are but purely just don’t care about your safety. What should matter more than choosing between ‘home’ or ‘commercial’, or ‘this one is cheaper than this one’ is your safety. Choosing a reputable nail technician (or beauty therapist for that matter) who cares about giving you the best and safest results. RESEARCH your salon’s before you decide on one to go to, ask questions about the hygiene, their qualifications, if they have insurance and shire approval. Ask questions until you are comfortable with your choice - The right salon’s that care about your safety and providing non-damaging services will happily answer your questions and take time to explain Being left in pain is never a normal experience with nails or beauty!

10.01.2022 PLEASE READ I just wanted to address the current situation, we all know the coronavirus is a big topic and on everyones mind at the moment. So what am I doing to protect my clients?... Firstly at Escape into Beauty I do have high hygiene standards that I have to adhere to as a salon and that I already uphold. This will never change, and I will be doing all I can on top of this to ensure any risk is greatly minimised. We are also heading into the upcoming cold + flu season for 2020, so all we do to help minimise the worry for coronavirus will also be helping reduce the spread of the cold and flu. I have also completed infection control training for COVID-19 and currently will not be closing the salon unless we are advised by the government to do so, in which case you will all be updated. Due to this I will be putting further precautions in place and I ask you please respect and follow them. I am an individual who does have a compromised immune system which unfortunately puts me in higher risk of getting quite sick even from something as simple as a common cold or the flu and the coronavirus is something I really have to be weary of. If you are experiencing any coughing, sore throat, fatigue, headaches, runny nose, fever or other flu like symptoms. This goes for any illness you’re experiencing and not just the corona virus. If you have been overseas in the last 14 days If you have been in contact with anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days or has had these symptoms I please ask you to message me and reschedule your appointment. I will be enforcing this strictly and failure to reschedule will have you turned away if you show to an appointment and any of the listed relates to you. I want to keep my clients + their families, my own family and myself safe from any risk and I need everyones cooperation to do so. What can you do as a client? Most important is washing your hands REGULARLY. Avoid touching your face. Social distancing. Coughing and sneezing into your elbow or a tissue which is disposed of immediately after. 07.01.2022 As announced yesterday all nail and beauty salons in WA are still not yet able to reopen. But we do at least have a guide now as to when we may be able to open - if all goes well with the current stages of easing restrictions. Mid June has been mentioned as the potential for us to reopen and is what I will be aiming for. But I will not be taking any bookings until I am given a definite date of reopening. 07.01.2022 As I write this right now my heart is broken. Broken for myself and my business, but also broken for every other small business who like myself is forced to close the businesses we have grown and put all our blood, sweat and tears into to get to where we are today. As of midnight tomorrow the new restrictions for nail and beauty salons will come into effect and we will be closed until this all passes. I am so incredibly thankful for all your support and loyalty, watching E...scape into Beauty bloom has been amazing. Once this has all passed and restrictions lifted we will reopen. So for now I will be taking this opportunity to look after my health and I ask all clients to please stay safe and do the same. I will see you all on the other end of this pandemic! I will be contacting all clients with future appointments tomorrow, but for tonight I don’t have words as this reality sets in. Kiara xx

03.01.2022 Freshly filed sculptured acrylics What are they ? Sculptured acrylics are created using a nail form instead of gluing a tip onto the natural nail. By building the acrylic out to the desired length / shape over the form once the acrylic has set the form is removed and there is now a beautifully sculptured nail left.... Sculptured enhancements can be as short as only just past the natural nails for those who just want a little bit more length, or they can be as long as you want! And they can be any shape you’d like!
