17.01.2022 What a day! Sensational spring sunday, and a brilliant group of 14 from Mt. Gambier on a private lofty MTB adventure to celebrate Gemma's 21st Birthday. Happy Birthday!

16.01.2022 Today we had our first Rocket Scientists! About the only overseas visitors around at the moment, we took a group of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists and pilots down Mount Lofty, whilst they are in the state waiting for a probe to land this week from an asteroid! Awesome day!

16.01.2022 It's Summer holiday time, and we are super excited to finally have a base to run activities from this year, at the Goat Shed! So check out our suggestion of family activities you can do! Activities include our Escapegoat Family Adventure Challenge, Kids Adventures by MTB day and Kids CORE skills beginner MTB course, plus other stuff. Hope to see you in Belair sometime!

15.01.2022 OK, so that was the shortest harshest lockdown in Australia! Good news is the Goat Shed will be OPEN AGAIN from Sunday 22 Nov. So come on down, we will have bike hire available, the best Coffee in Belair NP, cakes, muffins, ICE CREAM, and there are even new trails to explore! Yes, the Birdie Loop around the old golf course is now fully signed and open. It's a green beginner loop that's around 3km, mostly on gravel tracks, with a lovely last little flow trail. Also an excellent finish to the Adventure Loop, look for the detours at the end of track when you drop out onto the road near the Adventure Playground. See you there!

12.01.2022 OK, in another week or so and we will be in Fire Season, and already we've had a few hot days where fire restrictions have caused problems for riders. So, here's my new attempt at an easy guide to work out where you can ride, depending on the Fire Danger Ratings. Let me know what you think!

12.01.2022 What do you do on a day off?!? Staff ride of course! Beautiful afternoon for a ride, such a great day. #whatcovid

11.01.2022 This is my proud face after a customer today came in for a coffee and afterwards said "I didn't expect the coffee to be much but you've done a really great job" #yesweservegreatcoffee Come into the Goat Shed in Belair National Park this weekend to see for yourself!

11.01.2022 Edit.... forget this, it's all gone to shit, we are closed for the next week at least. Time to hit the pool with a beer..... OK, just as everything was looking good, we have a small but potentially tricky outbreak in South Australia. This has forced the SA government to introduce certain restrictions again, hopefully only temporarily for 2 weeks to allow the outbreak to be brought under control. Please note this outbreak is in Northern Adelaide in an area we don't operate in..., and we are very hopeful this will be under control very quickly. Anyway, this does temporarily impact things, although hopefully will not affect bookings and operation in the medium term. Changes are:- *The Goat Shed has a capacity change inside down to 7 people, takeaway coffee etc not affected, please just be aware of numbers inside. Bike hire is all still OK. *Skills training is still OK as Outdoor Recreation and bootcamp style activities are OK. We will monitor this closely in particular for the skills day on 28 Nov. Please don't come if unwell! *Tours can go ahead as normal, with tours capped at 6 people in short term. *Going forward, all bookings continue to be flexible with refund or date change. To make things easier we suggest not booking tours a long way in advance, 2 to 3 weeks in advance is fine. If concerned about specific dates please email us and we can pencil you in and save spots. *We will continue to encourage social distancing, hand sanitation and all other things to be COVID-SAFE. *We had considered re-introducing SHUTTLES in the near future, but have put this on hold again until this outbreak is resolved. Cheers, Ian and Deborah.

08.01.2022 OK, so a lot of people saw the article today about Fox Creek not opening for a while and were understandably upset. Trust us, we want it to open soon too, it's hurting us too. However it's totally understandable these things take time, and sometimes things take longer than expected. December always sounded optimistic in the current climate, but we are confident things will start to look good by Feb. So today, rather than getting upset, we decided to properly sit down and read the draft report for the plans for Fox Creek. It's going to be bloody good, and worth the wait. So, lets all chill and support all the clubs and Forestry SA as they try to get this all happening safely. And check out the report, it's a good read.... https://www.forestrysa.com.au//ForestrySA-Cudlee-Creek-For

08.01.2022 Awesome news that Tasmania is re-opening borders with South Australia as of this week. So, our Feb Tassie trip is looking good, and I've just booked my flights! So, who's in?!? https://escapegoat.com.au/tour/derby/ Tassie info here:- https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au//coming-to/travel-alert

08.01.2022 Beautiful day for a spin around Kuipto and McLaren Vale! Lovely to have visitors from Sydney, NT, Melbourne, and new arrivals from Wales and Scotland too!

07.01.2022 Don't you hate it when tubeless fails on you 3 runs in! Beautiful day, too close to home to bother fixing, too far away to be bothered to swap bikes....

07.01.2022 What a day! Started with a private McLaren Vale bike wine tour for Danny and his family, and finished with a rapid ride around Belair National Park with the SASI hockey crew. A long and rewarding day of guiding. Knackered!

06.01.2022 Nice one, look out for Me and Finn on SA Weekender this Sunday! We headed up to the awesome Kinchina Conservation Park near Murray Bridge, to meet up with Ron from SA weekender, to be shown around the trails by the amazing local crew who built and maintain much of the trails. Definitely worth the drive up the freeway!

05.01.2022 Yesterday's walk through Belair National Park. Lots of nature to slow my busy mind. Come walking or riding with us. And don't forget to swing by 'The Goat Shed' for a coffee, cake, ice cream or now sandwich and kettle chips.

05.01.2022 Lovely to get some great reviews and feedback from today's CORE skills session, it was warm, but everyone did great. The last skills session for 2020! Maybe join us in 2021?

04.01.2022 The Escapegoat Goat Shed opening hours over the Holidays. Open tomorrow and Xmas eve, then a couple days off, before we reopen pretty much every day for the whole of Jan! Come in grab a coffee, cake, or a bike for a spin around the park!

01.01.2022 This week I am down at Robe running the MTB part of a school camp, 50 riders over 4 sessions. Had a lovely morning spin, 25km recce of all the ride options, nice single-track and easy shared use trails. Should be a good week! #holidayherethisyear #southaustralia

01.01.2022 Finally tried one of our white chocolate and raspberry muffins... And they are delicious. The question is, should I save half for my little one or not.. A.. Bit.. Too .. Hard... To... Resist!
