25.01.2022 Today is a public public holiday in Malta. It is the Feast day of St Pauls Shipwreck. This day is unique to Malta because it was on Malta that the apostle was shipwrecked around the year A.D.60. The feast is kept on February 10 each year, and as Paul is the patron saint of Malta, it is a much anticipated event. The streets of Valletta will be lined with people, and there is a church dedicated to this very thing. Paul the Apostle brought Christianity to Malta.

21.01.2022 I guess it had to happen someday with the amount of tourists arriving on My Little Rock. I will however, miss the "little island airport experience ". The artist impression looks, well, pretty impressive actually. 13.01.2022 So its been a while since I have posted on here. Its been quite a year actually, and not a very favourable one. Earlier in the year I was hospitalised, undergoing an emergency operation, with a recovery time of 8 weeks, mind you I was in Malta, so I can think of worse places to recuperate. This then marked the beginning of Covid - 19. At the same time, a family member took ill, and sadly passed away 3 weeks ago. Not quite the year I was expecting. Normally I would be p...reparing myself to embark on my journey to Malta for our Summer Escape To Malta Tour. Sadly the flights, tour, accommodation is obviously cancelled due to the current climate. My heart is breaking. My tour guests that were booked are hoping that we can do it all next year, and so am I, but Im just missing Malta in general at the moment. This time next week I was to be there . Over the coming weeks, Ill be sharing pics of my beautiful little rock as I need to get my fix somehow. Stay tuned...... See more

09.01.2022 Duck Village is a volunteer-run sanctuary for ducks and many other animals. It it totally bizarre. Its quite hard to describe the place itself and the surroundings, but it is a set of very colorful structures made out of food, bricks, stone and recycled materials. The Duck Village is a home to many ducks as well as geese, guinea pigs, rabbits, chicken, roosters, even pheasants and possibly more! Located in Gzira , you could be forgiven for thinking it was an old derelict pl...ace. 07.01.2022 So this week "il Karnival ta Malta" is currently in full swing. The carnival is held during the week leading up to Ash Wednesday, and typically includes masked balls, fancy dress and grotesque mask competitions, lavish late-night parties, a colourful, ticker-tape parade of allegorical floats presided over by King Carnival (Maltese: ir-Re tal-Karnival), marching bands and costumed revellers. The biggest Karnival is held in Valletta on the mainland and in Nadur, on the sister island of Gozo.. Here are a few pics.

05.01.2022 So upset to have to cancel this years Escape To Malta. I was due to leave end of May in preparation of greeting my guests. Its a sad state of affairs and my heart goes out to everyone who had travel plans booked and has had to cancel. We will be back next year showing off my favourite Little Rock!
