01.01.2022 Today is the first day of Autumn. Or is it? Actually, in 2021 the point of the beginning of Autumn is at 7.37pm on the 20th March. In Australia, we start the seasons on the 1st of the relative month, with the Bureau of Meteorology basing their climate-statistics on seasons based by months. This just makes it easier for everyone. But technically the change of seasons happens around the 20th to 21st of the relative month. In spring and autumn, the equinox is the point that the sun is exactly above the equator, and day and night are exactly equal in length (both 12 hours) So, our Australian Summer isn’t finished. Don’t cover the pool and pack up the summer clothes because technically we still have 3 weeks of summer
