24.01.2022 Some time ago, I read Daphne du Maurier's, Rebecca. Just now, I watched the movie. Really enjoyed it, though, in many ways, the atmospherics when reading were far more intense. Must say though, it's well worth the two hours on a Sunday evening.

23.01.2022 Have you seen the latest movie of "The Secret Garden"? I enjoyed it today with my beautiful granddaughter, Angela. We'd each read the story. It was a childhood favourite of mine, so much so I read it more than once. When I lived in England for a while I loved stumbling across walled gardens. Of course, these were orderly, green and always had a water feature. Nothing like the lush garden in the movie. We both enjoyed the story. And a quick bite to eat afterwards. ... My battered copy of the book will be added later. See more

12.01.2022 I felt really fortunate tonight to hear Natasha Lester - Author at the Boya Library, (WA). It's been a good few months since The Paris Secret was released, and while Covid meant the initial talk was delayed until now, it was well worth the wait. Fascinating insights from Natasha's research added depth to this and her other stories. Thanks Natasha for sharing your passion in yet another story which honours the unsung female heros who have helped pave the way for us today. I loved reading The Paris Secret. The life of Catherine Dior and of the brave women in the ATA are woven into a totally captivating story.

11.01.2022 Parched Salty River, cnr Eujinyn North Rd and Bruce Rock-Doodlakine Rd. My great-grandparents pioneered land a few kms further along, on Eujinyn Rd. Many salt lakes litter the land. It was a challenging environment on the 1900's and remains so, today.

09.01.2022 My purse was $5 lighter for a soy flat white. It was a pleasant 3-4 mouths full. By golly, the cups are shrinking!
