21.01.2022 The dawn rises for ESGAV 2021, the 42nd ESGAV to ever be held. We all look forward to seeing you there tonight, prepared (as a scout and guide should be) and ready to give it your all.

21.01.2022 Hi ESGAVIANS, We felt that there may be concerns with the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak around the world that would mean that you feel unsafe bringing your child to ESGAV. The current advice from the Department of Health and Human Services about travel to community events is: "At the present time there is no evidence of transmission in the community in Victoria so you should continue to go about your business. You don't need to take actions like limiting your move...ment in the community or staying at home." Their current advice on who should stay isolated is: "People who think they may have been in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus should also monitor their health and seek urgent medical attention." They are the professionals and the experts we look to for advice on these matters and should take what they say above rumours or fears being spread among our community. If they thought there was risk to the general public they would advise that we cancel this event. It's especially important to be aware that lots of advice on the internet and social media may not be applicable to Australians and our situation. 17.01.2022 The committee did our final site visit last Sunday and it was great to check out all the resources, activities and facilities. It was just nice to get out to the country side and have a hike around. Thank you to Lidiya (Russians) for setting it all up, Michael (Polish) and Tarik (Estonians), and our new committee members Ronan (Latvians) and Dan (Hungarians) for giving up your time and money to go check out the site.

09.01.2022 ESGAV 2020 is unfortunately cancelled. This has been a tough decision to make as the camp committee has worked tirelessly to bring together a truly amazing cam...p program. Unfortunately, in the current rapidly evolving situation around COVID-19 it would be irresponsible of us to push ahead with the camp. We will contact all those who have purchased tickets, to arrange a full refund. 05.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to Liesl Clarke for doing the winning design for our badge competition. Thank you to all who entered. The Executive Committee thought it was a great design and the Camp Committee thought it was a great use of the theme and thematic colours. We look forward to seeing it embroidered and worn on the arms of esgavians. This was handed in as a physical drawing that a photo was taken of and sent in.... Moments before Uranus's demise he prophesised that Cronus's children would rise up against him just like he did to Uranus. Due to this Cronus became paranoid and cruel, he swallowed each one of his children whole when they were born. Until Rhea, his wife, hid Zeus and tricked her husband into eating a stone instead. Zeus grew up with the plan to free his brothers and sisters. When finally an adult he poisoned Cronus which made him vomit up his brothers and sisters, freeing them. Time passed and Cronus's siblings, the Titans, still ruled.
