22.01.2022 End Of Year Celebration. (Part 1)

18.01.2022 Congratulations to the Bondi Dragons (our Sister Club) for winning the NSW Mseries F5. Robbie Ezekiel - NSW Men's Player of the year , Tom McGowan our NZ superstar and Laith the best Goal Keeper in Australia supplemented our 4 youth players. Jeremy (the captain of the squad) Emmanuel, Thomas (from the Vipers) and Johnathon (from Enfield). The team went through the round robin stage undefeated, although there were very dicey moments, especially in the first game were we we...nt down 2 0before fighting back to win 3 2. The semi final was undramatic but the final... Against a superstar team with a number of Futsalroos and the rest being top quality PL1 players we were definitely the under dogs. In the first half there were periods were we were on top and periods were we just hung on. With two minutes to go Jeremy got a yellow card (which in this game is a 2 minute suspension with the team then playing down a man). Against the quality that we were playing against there was no way that we could keep the ball out of the net and they duly scored. In the second half again it was an arm wrestle but this time we scored. In a Deja vue moment with two minutes to go Robbie got a yellow card. This time however we hung on. In extra time no one gained supremacy and it looked like it would go to penalties. Come the moment cometh the man. Tom as he did in the grand final of Premier League competition took the ball beat a player and scored. Now this team has to win the Australian nationals and they will then get to go overseas. A Good (if somewhat cold) day.

13.01.2022 Football NSW are running a winter Competition for our senior women’s and a combined youth and men’s team. Hakoah will be running an open trial in February but are seeking expressions of interest now. If you are looking to be coached by Miles Downie and to play at a very high level, please email [email protected] Include Your name Your age... Your Futsal experience Training will probably be Wednesday nights and games will be on Sundays for men, and probably Saturdays for women.

06.01.2022 The Mighty Under 13 Team went one better than they did last year. Last year they were undefeated until the Grand Final, this year the team won every game including the Grand Final. We cant wait for these players to start playing for our men's team in the next three or four years

06.01.2022 The Bondi Dragons travelled to Port Macquarie to represent NSW in the Southern Cross Futsal competitions grand final. We were the NSWs champions on the back of 12 victories and 2 draws. There we were set to play three QLD representative in a weekend tournament. Three straight victories got us into the Grand final and we were winning 6 3 in the second half when the heavens opened up and managed to flood the stadium. A victory (of sorts) This amazing team led by the brilliant Miles Downie managed to pick up not only the Australian Champions Cup, but the MVP of the tournament (Jordan Guerreiro) the Golden Boot (Daniel Fornitto) and the Golden gloves of the tournament (Laith Al Shdifat) as an added bonus we have been invited to represent Australia in the South of France sometime in 2022. Road trip anybody????

01.01.2022 On Sunday our men’s team branded The Bondi Dragons played a one day Competition called the Cage last time this was run we beat the awesome Inner west Boys in extra time golden goal. This time we met them in the round robin game. We drew thanks to scoring a goal in the last few minutes of the game. This is an amazing result when you consider the quality of that team. Daniel Fornito (Futsalroo) Jono Barzel an amazing player, Ethan Demello Youngest ever Futsalroo, and Shan...e Watson one of the best goal keepers in the state. Any time you can get a result against this calibre of players you have to be proud, Amazingly in the semi-final they were knocked out and we had to play an equally well stacked team called Linx. This time in golden goal, Extra time we conceded a penalty and lost. But still and awesome result. A player from another team stated that we are just getting to good under Miles to be entering these competitions In a few years he says that we will be untouchable. Very nice to hear, and now we go back to training. See more
