06.01.2022 We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards and learn to swim teachers to join our team. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You will have a passion for safety around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and... a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time. As a Swimming Teacher you will teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program. This will be a casual role, therefore requiring you to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes. You will have a passion for swimming and making children safer around the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, with a flair for working with children. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure swim school members, patrons and parents are gaining maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. Please note, you will also be required to work across other Somerset Leisure sites in the Somerset region such as Kilcoy Aquatic Centre, Toogoolawah Swimming Pool, Esk Swimming Pool and Lowood Swimming Pool. Skills & Attributes: Excellent verbal communication skills An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team Current First Aid (Level 2) Current CPR Certificate Blue Card Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded And/Or Current AUSTSWIM Certificate Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (Desirable) AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable) Or be willing to obtain - courses to be held in Kilcoy prior to Season commencing.
