25.01.2022 Pyreneans are a very environmentally conscious addition to the family. They help save water by eliminating the pre-rinse cycle! . Thanks to Aileen for this great photo of Albus (Espinay Bright Magic) doing his part for the planet.

25.01.2022 Saw this and just had to share. Anyone who has spent time training a Pyr will understand

24.01.2022 Thanks Toni and Clinton for this lovely photo of Alex (Espinay Coup de Coeur) enjoying his beautiful Snowy Mountains view.

24.01.2022 Please mum, make him give me some lamb ...

24.01.2022 Playtime for Missy (Espinay Cest la Vie) and Hugo (Espinay Bastille My Heart). Yes, Missy is airbourne in two of the photos!

24.01.2022 Thanks to Sally for this photo of Pocket (Ch Espinay Belle Époque). Pocket was quick to make herself comfortable on the lounge the minute Sally took the cover off to wash it

23.01.2022 3 year old Albus (Espinay Bright Magic) is slowly weaving his magic with Selene the cat. Selene is a stress kitty and not a very trustful soul, but I think she is starting to get used to the idea of having a dog around. Yes it has taken her a while! Maybe by the time he is ten she will even start to like him . Thanks to Albus’ family for the photo of the goodest boi and his feline housemate .

22.01.2022 Hugo the chicken guardian

22.01.2022 7 year old Nena (Ch Espinay Albine).

21.01.2022 Why get up when you can eat your treat upside down? (Oh Missy .... ).

20.01.2022 Thanks Gary and Heleena for these great photos of 7 year old BJ (NCh Espinay Arrens), 3 1/2 year old Georgie (Ch Espinay Belle Amie) and 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier Piper (Ch Dinamyte Havn A Blast). Such posers

20.01.2022 Missy (2 year old Espinay Cest la Vie) is rather pleased with herself, and we are pleased with her too. Yesterday she attended a heart clinic with veterinary cardiac specialist Geoff Nicolson. She has a beautiful heart. Here is the proof .

19.01.2022 8 year old Louise (Ch Despreaux la Chanteuse) and Sookie the Saluki (Ch Alshira la Sylphide JC) snuggled up on a cool spring morning.

19.01.2022 Alex the Great (Espinay Coup de Coeur) has been on holiday at the beach. From all accounts he has been having a great time. Thanks Toni and Clinton for the photo.

19.01.2022 Throwback Thursday to 8 years ago. Here is Hamish (Ch Despreaux Highlander) taking part in a Junior Handler competition. These boys had so much fun!

16.01.2022 Big brother and little sister sleeping back to back. Thanks Anne and Rodney for this photo of 2 year old Gandalf (Espinay Cerdagne) and 10 month old Naga (Espinay Dreams Come True)

16.01.2022 Thanks Mark and Andrew for this great photo of Appa (Espinay Dont Stop Me Now) with his namesake, Appa the flying bison from Avatar the Last Airbender. Yip Yip Appa!

15.01.2022 Thanks to the Wibberley family for this photo of 3 1/2 year old Belle (Espinay Belle Vie). Karen tells me she had just got up off the lounge and Belle quickly decided to take her place. No mistaking that look on her face. It is so like her mother Nena. ‘This is my spot now!’

15.01.2022 We had a visit this afternoon from Krissy Stanley from Kris's Feathered Friends and Cosplay Chris. They were here to film a segment on the dogs. It is part of a series being shown in nursing homes around Australia. Such a fun afternoon! The dogs had a lot of fun getting plenty of pats and hugs.

15.01.2022 Pyrs can be very good at ‘passive resistance’ when they don’t want to do something. They know they have a size advantage and use it well along with their strong sense of determination when it comes to things they consider ‘important’. Here is Odin (the aptly named Espinay Doing it My Way) politely refusing to go outside. ‘Nope! Not ready yet!’. You do have to maintain a sense of humour with this breed . Thanks to the Siddiqui family for the photo.

15.01.2022 I am eating (home made) pizza for dinner. I have an audience.

13.01.2022 My office buddy today is Missy. (And can you spot the stray Pyr hairs on the desk? )

13.01.2022 Missy doesn’t do Mondays

13.01.2022 ‘Is my cake ready yet?’. Happy 12th Birthday to my beautiful, funny, precious princess Gracie Mae Pudding (Ch Despreaux Amazing Grace). No, the cake isn’t quite ready yet, sweetheart. But it will be worth the wait I promise. In the meantime you can have your favourite vegemite toast while you guard the oven.

13.01.2022 We went to a dog show! A lovely day out with Missy today at our first show since February. Very pleased with how Missy went (I need more practice running though ).

12.01.2022 Pocket (Ch Espinay Belle Époque) looks pretty comfortable on the bed. I am told she was snoring . Thanks Sally for the picture .

12.01.2022 It is a cool rainy evening, which means being cozy inside. Louise is very comfortable

12.01.2022 Congratulations to Anne and Rodney on their recent marriage. Looks like Gandalf took his duties for the occasion very seriously . Photo of the happy couple with Gandalf (Espinay Cerdagne) and Naga (Espinay Dreams Come True).

12.01.2022 Almost 12 year old Grace (Ch Despreaux Amazing Grace). Barking into the evening breeze

11.01.2022 Thank you to all my puppy owners. I love being part of your lives. Every single one of you has a piece of my heart (in some cases several pieces).

11.01.2022 What a lovely view and a great place for a walk. Thanks for the photo Andrew and Mark. This is 10 month old Appa (Espinay Dont Stop Me Now).

11.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our family, friends and followers. Wishing you health, peace, and many Pyr cuddles.

11.01.2022 Today we are grieving for Azure (Ch Espinay Azun). Late last night he suffered a series of seizures which left him in a coma, so the decision was made to let him go peacefully. My heart breaks at the loss and for Sally and her family. He could not have had a better home or be more loved. Azure loved his life in Sydney with his Leonberger girls. He loved his time on the farm here with us where he spent countless ‘country holidays’. He loved his strolls with Sally’s father and all the friends he met who knew him by his knickname ‘Snowball’. To us he was our Zoobie Doo. Such a sweet gentle soul. Thank you Sally for allowing us to share him with you. It means so much to us.

10.01.2022 ‘I have cake!’ Happy 12th Birthday, Grace

10.01.2022 Today Hugo is helping me graft fruit trees in the orchard. He is finding it hard to keep his mind on the job though.

09.01.2022 Kitchen obstacle course while cooking dinner.

08.01.2022 Oh that face! ‘Did I really have to have a bath?’ Thanks Anne and Rodney for this photo of Gandalf (Espinay Cerdagne).

08.01.2022 Beautiful sunny morning with just a hint of a breeze. Hugo is enjoying some sun baking.

08.01.2022 Nena is very pleased with herself as she has the prime spot on the couch near the fire. I am trying to explain to her that Pyrs are not meant to like warm fires

06.01.2022 Another photo of Missy and Hugo at play

06.01.2022 Not long now before Santa visits all the good dogs! Appa got in early . Thanks for the photo Mark and Andrew

06.01.2022 Mmmm! Cream cheese! Hugo is in heaven.

05.01.2022 Missy (Espinay Cest La Vie) has always reminded me of a dramatic silent film star. She is very much into big gestures and over acting.

05.01.2022 Here it is! This is the video we shot on Friday. We are after Henry the Steer. Many thanks to Krissy and her crew. https://youtu.be/1PJkKe3nbrY

03.01.2022 Dog, or cat in disguise? Put something on the ground and they immediately claim it to sleep on! Thanks Aileen for this photo of Albus (Espinay Bright Magic) who has claimed the shade cloth as ‘his’.

03.01.2022 I think Alex feels the same way most of us do by Friday afternoon Lol! Don’t you love the strange ways Pyrs sometimes fold their paws? Thanks to Toni and Clinton for the photo.

02.01.2022 12 year old Grace (Ch Despreaux Amazing Grace)
