04.01.2022 A beautiful memory of 2 years ago in Paris. Well, we were in the third row from the front, smack bang in the centre. We saw Natalie Dessay up close and personal and I have to say, what a study in stylish singing she is. Her magnificent legato, her cerscendi and decrescendi, her beautiful delivery and interpretation of text and exquisite phrasing. An interesting program containing Schubert, Pfitzner, Chausson, Debussy and Delibes. The standout for me was the Schubert - Die jun...ge Nonne and Mignons lied - breathtaking. It is true the voice is not what it once was and as the evening wore on she became vocally fatigued, however this didn't stop her from giving 3 encores, the last of which contained some divine decrescendi and pianissimo singing. All in all, Ms Dessay is a truly magnificent artist. Added to this she looked absolutely stunning and sparkling in a black gown with gold and diamond jewels and I suspect glitter spray over the arms and décolletage! See more

01.01.2022 3 years today since visiting one of the most beautiful buildings i have ever been into anywhere in the world. Theatre Colòn, Buenos Aires Argentina is just mind blowing (it is the Opera House).
