03.01.2022 *Jumu’ah (Friday) Prayer Update* Assalaamu Alaykum All, AlhumduliLah the restrictions on the Masajid have been eased to allow 50 worshipers plus essential workers at any one time. This means that there is plenty of space for the five daily prayers *and Friday Jumu’ah!*... Please note the below changes to Jumu’ah: *There will be 2 sessions:* *12:30pm: English* *1pm: Arabic* - A maximum of 50 worshippers will be allowed in at any one time - Once the maximum is reached we will need to close the doors - If there are people who came early and had to wait we will do another khutbah so they do not miss out - The Khutab (sermons) and Salah (prayers) will be short so we ask that all attend early Some things to keep in mind: - Names and numbers will need to be taken as per NSW Government requirements - Please maintain prevention guidelines where possible - Please make Wudu (ablution at home), bring a prayer mat and use the hand sanitizer provided on the way in and out - Please refrain from attending if you are sick or have a weak immune system - Whilst we encourage sitting apart, we will be praying as per normal, shoulder to shoulder as there are no laws against this and so the default position should be maintained - Committee members and volunteers are there to assist and have the Masjid and community’s’ interests at heart so please follow any advice given We kindly ask the sisters not to attend jum’uah due to the number restrictions and it not being an obligation upon them. Sisters are welcome at all other times. Jazaakum Allahu Khayran (may Allah reward you with good) *Masjid As-Salaam*
02.01.2022 Masjid As-Salaam Wollongong Ramadan Fundraising Drive Assalaamu Alaykum Dear Brothers and Sisters, Ramadan is usually the time to announce community updates and future projects. Unfortunately this has not been the case this year and so we kindly ask you to watch the below 2 minute video and to assist, just as you have assisted many times before. ... AlhumduliLah your donations have contributed towards a full time Masjid, 5 daily prayers in congregation including Jumu’ah and Taraweeh, teachers, almost daily classes, free counselling, free conferences, Eid events, revert support, community support, community projects and much, much more. We ask you to kindly assist in that which Allah has made easy for you and always remember when we give in Sadaqah, we are the true beneficiaries. Who is he who will lend Allah a generous loan (give in charity), so He will multiply it for him many times over? Allah it is who withholds and gives. And to Him, you will be returned. (Al-Baqarah: 245) We are aiming to achieve a minimal target of $50,000 In Sha Allah. With the assistance of Allah the load shared, the target is more than attainable.
