25.01.2022 KOMBUCHA KITS NOW AVAILABLE IN STORE Stoneware is perfect for brewing and storing your Kombucha. These Durand jars are individually handmade using stoneware clay and a potter's wheel. They're hand decorated and glazed with non-toxic glazes, and then fired to 1280 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, the clay turns to stone, while the glaze turns to glass, meaning the surface no longer holds or leaches any impurities. Unlike glassware, these jars will prevent much light fr...om getting into your brew, making it the perfect environment for your Kombucha to grow. 09.01.2022 Holy mackerel! Can you believe it's almost Easter already?! If you're looking for something a bit fancy to dish up on Good Friday, pick up some Spanish Mackerel in store and give this recipe a go! What you'll need:... 3 large garlic cloves 1 tsp salt, more for later 1 tsp ground coriander tsp ground cumin cup finely chopped fresh parsley cup finely chopped fresh dill 500-750g Spanish Mackerel 1 lemon, thinly sliced Extra virgin olive oil 2-3 tbsp fresh lemon juice METHOD: Preheat the oven to 180C and set a roasting sheet pan inside to warm. Using a mortar and pestle, crush garlic with salt until smooth. Add coriander and cumin and continue crushing. Mix in parsley and dill. Pat the fish dry, salt generously on both sides, then place on a lightly oiled piece of foil that is large enough to enclose the fish. Cover with lemon slices and the garlic and herb mixture you just prepared. Drizzle generously with olive oil. Fold the foil over the fish lengthwise, tightly closing the top seam to trap the steam. Place the foiled fish on top of the hot sheet pan and bake for 20-30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice. Serve immediately.
