12.01.2022 The Essendon Choral Society has been saddened at the loss of Graeme Burnham, our accompanist/assistant conductor from mid-2011 to mid-2019. Several members of the choir were able to join our music director, Greg Hocking, at the memorial service for Graeme earlier today. He was an extremely talented musician skilled in many genres and we appreciated his contributions on piano and organ to our choir. The service, which he planned, featured beautiful, thoughtfully chosen music.

07.01.2022 Yesterday we sang at Vera's funeral. Vera had been a soprano in the front row of the choir for nearly all of our forty years. She'd been the choir librarian, part of the Weekday Singers, an expert in pronunciation and translation, and the composer of witty words for many of our Gilbert and Sullivan performances. We miss her. Vale Vera

06.01.2022 It was fun singing in the park as the sun went down on this balmy summer evening. Here’s part of the small band of choristers who sung well known carols with musicians from the Essendon Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kim Soper who is a talented member of ECS and the orchestra.
