08.01.2022 Please join us in congratulating Essendon teenager, Joelle, in launching her very own clothing label during lockdown - Halu Collective! The name comes from two special words: "Hapu", meaning Clan in Maori (part of Joelle's background) and Lu, from Joelle's friend Lucy who passed away in a car accident in early 2019. Halu donates $1 from every sale to the Australian Road Safety Foundation, a not for profit organisation dedicated to reducing the impacts of road trauma an...d improving safety to all road users across Australia. The foundation hits close to home for Joelle and she feels incredibly lucky to be able to give back to this amazing foundation.
