25.01.2022 THE FUTURE OF ESSENDON CYCLERY Corona Virus and the lock down has affected everyone differently. With 3 mechanics choosing to stay home we have managed as best we could for the past 8 weeks and focused on repairs to keep our customers rolling when other stores focussed or record bike sales. Unfortunately this has taken a toll on some of us with increased stress and no outlets available that we normally have for some it has gotten too much to bear. Unfortunately because of t...his Riley has chosen to leave us and seek some alone time to sort things out. We fully support him in this move as without our mental health in life its hard to have much else sorted. We wish him a speedy recovery. Going forward as the country returns to normality we will continue to do our best to keep everyone on two wheels but ask that you try to be a bit understanding as we get back up to speed. Thanks to everyone for your love and understanding and thanks to Riley for his years of knowledge and personality in the EC family.

24.01.2022 QUICK IMPORTANT NOTES AND INFO hey guys just a quick one on the sale saturday we in store 10-4 and have done our best to mark most stuff with CHEAP prices. As we have been having some intermittent issues with the internet (thanks Optus) and therefore out eftpos me suggest cash on hand just to be safe if we have a drop out. Outstanding repairs. Whilst Saturday is officially our last day of retail trading we are in store until end of dec finishing all outstanding purchases an...d repairs that are still with us so if its here it WILL get done so please don’t panic. Final note to whom it may apply to (there have been a few of you). Gareth has done his best to not give out his personal number over the years and only about 5 of you have it, would anyone that does PLEASE not use it on shop buisness or share it as we are checking the emails as quckly as possible and will reply to those but texts and calls WILL be ignored to my personal number and blocked if repeated. 08.01.2022 QUICK UPDATE FROM GARETH thanks to those who have expressed concern and sent well wishes over the last couple of days. Good news is Gareth’s test came back negative and we will be opening as per normal on Tuesday. Sorry to those who have their bikes in the shop or missed their service bookings (we will of course allow all those people booked in Thursday and Friday to drop off next week). Thankfully it would just seem Gareth was a little exhausted and thankfully Lewis Joel are back in to help next week.

05.01.2022 FIRST GOOD NEWS IN A WHILE so officially the Essendon Cyclery shop ride starts again. This weekend it just Mark and Black Rock run. But next week (after his birthday Gareth will be back in force. Max group sizes of ten so if there are a few just split with some people who know the route 7AM from the shop!

02.01.2022 LAST DAY OF "NORMAL" TRADING This Saturday all accessories must go- tyres, lights, locks, seats, computers, helmets, clothing and shoes 30% off. We don't want to put them in boxes and we prefer they go to good homes. Bikes are for sale also but only discounted as on bike exchange. 10- 4 Saturday the 5th. Due to Covid restrictions 4 people in the store at any one time. Please share around as we want much stuff to go at stupid prices.
