22.01.2022 Estrogen & Progesterone // our bodies NEED both, but a deficiency or an excess of either can cause problems. Estrogen is the female sex hormone; which helps with the development of our reproductive system as well as helping to regulate our menstrual cycle. A lack of estrogen may feel like; Issues sleeping Night sweats Not thinking clearly Hot flushes Depression Where an excess can feel like; Mood swings Nervousness Anxiousness Weight gain in hips Changes to your period Water retention (causing further bloating) A lack of progesterone often also feels similar to an estrogen deficiency, where you’ll find you have issues sleeping, foggy memory, hot flushes and bouts of depression. 18.01.2022 Swipe LEFT & SAVE FOR LATER // foods to eat and AVOID when menstruating DO EAT anything HIGH in iron! This will help reduce fatigue, bodily pain & dizziness. Leafy greens, chicken, lentils and beans are all foods high in iron!... GINGER & tumeric help with inflammatory as they are both a natural anti-inflammatory. Ginger can also aid to reduce nausea.. So pour yourself a ginger tea and enjoy! Fish such as salmon contain OMEGA-3 which again, is a natural anti-inflammatory to help calm your cramping. Omega-3 can also help with your mood. YOGURT is a natural probiotic, so if you are prone to yeast infections; try to put more yogurt into your daily diet. DON’T Salt! Avoid salty foods as much as you can - salt leads to water retention which can cause further bloating. SUGAR can cause an energy increase quite quickly, which often comes crashing down just as fast. This will leave you feeling moody, depressed and anxious at times. @ Sydney, Australia See more

05.01.2022 Did you know it takes on average 8-12 months to conceive when trying to have a baby? I often see patients who have lost direction, and in need of support as the journey to conceive can be a LOOOOOONG one. During your fertility acupuncture sessions, I take a holistic review of all your physical, emotional and lifestyle factors affecting your health, fertility and gynaecology to then suggest a pathway going forward. Other important factors I take into consideration fo...r your pathway is age, details of your menstrual cycle, previous pregnancies, miscarriages, family history, diet and lifestyle, as well as your emotional and medical/reproductive health. Once we’ve assessed the above, I then develop a plan including a variety of therapies such as Mizan massage or acupuncture. On occasions we may also do further medical testings to ensure we have all bases covered. Want to know more? Link in bio to book your appointment See more

04.01.2022 How does cupping work? Is it painful? These are two most frequently asked questions when it comes to CUPPING Cupping is much like the opposite of a massage rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward. It draws blood and metabolites (such as pain chemicals) to the surface of the body; by penetrating up to four inches into tissue! Most people find cupping therapy to be RELAXING, and NOT painful It activates the lymphati...c system, clears colon blockages, activates and clears the veins, arteries and capillaries, activates the skin and clear stretch marks.
