25.01.2022 Essential Energy crews are working on an unplanned power outage that is affecting around 5,400 customers in the Werris Creek, Quirindi, Currabubula, Premer areas. The outage was caused by a broken insulator on the high voltage powerline which supplies the area. Crews on site estimate that power will be restored by 4.30pm. We apologise for the inconvenience as we know it's a busy time and appreciate your patience as we work to get the power restored.

25.01.2022 As @NRSW2020 draws to a close, we wanted to share one of our own team's road safety story. Mick Wilson, is one of our fleet planners from Coffs Harbour, and recently helped out a local woman who was in a motor vehicle accident.

24.01.2022 YOUNG/COWRA/COOTAMUNDRA/WAGGA WAGGA/BOOROWA/JUGIONG/WEST WYALONG & ALL SURROUNDING AREAS: strong winds and severe storms this afternoon across the Riverina have caused numerous power outages affecting over 12,000 and resulting in multiple poles and wires down. Essential Energy crews from across the region have been deployed to fault find and carry out necessary repairs on the network to restore power as quickly as safety allows, currently there are no estimated times of re...storation. Our Operations Manager, Shawn Eade, reminds the public to stay at least eight metres away from damaged or fallen powerlines. Always treat powerlines as live and remember that anything in contact with them, such as cars, trees or fences, can conduct electricity and pose a danger. We ask residents to immediately report fallen powerlines, network damage, fires or trees contacting powerlines to Essential Energy on 13 20 80 or call 000 if the situation is life threatening. For all non-life threatening power outages please call 13 20 80 or report on our website at https://www.essentialenergy.com.au/out/report-power-outages. For updates please visit essentialenergy.com.au/outages.

22.01.2022 On national #AgDayAU, we’re throwing back to our launch of the Look Up and Live app in September. With this year’s bumper harvest, it’s even more important to maintain safe practices when working around powerlines. Visit www.lookupandlive.com.au or search for ‘Look Up and Live’ on the App or Google Play store to plan for a safe operation.

19.01.2022 Earlier this year, our Community Choices funding was able to support our friends at Coffs Coast Pipes & Drums. The club usually fundraises to pay for materials band members' use at their 30+ performances each year. This year their fundraising efforts were curtailed by COVID-19, and we were pleased to be able to assist with the purchase of items like bagpipe chanter split socks, bagpipe cords and hat badges through our community choices program.... 13.01.2022 As local communities around NSW prepare for Remembrance Day on 11 November, Wauchope chose to commemorate the 75th anniversary of World War 2 by installing life-size images of service men and women through the ages around their Cenotaph. Mat Reedy, our local Operations Manager, was part of the launch as his team assisted with the safe installation of the images. Mat served in the Royal Australian Navy and was deployed in the Iraq War in 2003, as well as Civil Wars in both ...the Solomon Island and East Timor. He reflects, When you are an active service man or woman, it is such a huge sacrifice for yourself, your family and your community. That’s why it’s so important that we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice as well as all service men & women, past & present who sacrifice so much of their lives protecting the many freedoms we all cherish in Australia. For Mat, working at Essential Energy gives him a similar sense of pride for the role we play serving our regional communities. We thank all service men and women, across the ages, for their service.
