25.01.2022 Soak up relaxation.... DIY Bath tea with essential oils In our humble opinion, we’re experts on relaxation! We know how to keep our chill and stay mindful-we even know how to do so luxuriously. Today’s edition of hacks from your resident serenity specialists: DIY bath tea!... Bath teas, a sure way to find a moment of calm while pampering your skin, are easy to make! With just a few common ingredients and some lush ones too, you’ll be soaking in floral bliss in no time. Ingredients: 1 cup whole dried oats 1/2 cup dried lavender buds 1/2 cup dried chamomile 1/2 cup dried rose petals 1/2 cup Epsom salt 1/2 cup coarse Himalayan salt 10 drops Lavender essential oil 10 drops German Chamomile essential oil 5 drops Rose essential oil Muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approximately 5 inches long by 4 inches wide How to make bath tea: 1 In a food processor or blender, grind oats for up to 30 seconds to make a fine powder. 2 Combine oats, dried flowers, salt, and essential oils in a bowl. Mix well to thoroughly combine. YL tip: Can’t bring yourself to use 5 precious drops of Rose in this DIY? Try Geranium, Joy, or any other floral favorite and soak in luxury! 3 Scoop mixture into pouches, filling a little more than halfway. This recipe yields 3-5 pouches. 4 Store in a cool, dry place. 08.01.2022 | DIY bathtub crayons | Here is a little sensory play the kids can have fun with in the bath! Your kids will have a blast with these DIY bath crayons and they even double as soap! They make washing up feel like playtime, and you’ll love that they get your kiddo squeaky clean. You can even use them in the sink to encourage more hand washing especially in today’s climate! You’re washing your hands too much.... said NO ONE EVER in today’s world!!! These homemade crayons ...easily wash off walls, so there’s no extra stress. Just be sure to perform a patch test on your surfaces before you let the fun begin! Materials * Glycerin soap * Small bowl * Essential oil* (We love any of the Kidscents range Lavender, Citrus Fresh or German Chamomile * Natural dye * Silicone mould Instructions 1. Cut the glycerin soap into 30 gram pieces. 2. Using a small bowl, melt a 30 gram piece in the microwave for 15 seconds. Continue heating for 3-second increments until the soap is fully melted. 3. Add 12 drops of essential oil. 4. Pour the glycerin mixture into the mold until it’s almost full. Avoid filling the mold to the brim, so the soap doesn’t spill over. 5. Add about 10 drops of dye to each individual moldor as many drops as needed for your desired colorand gently stir to blend in the dye. 6. Repeat for as many colors as you want. 7. Let your crayons dry in the molds for 24 hours. 8. Start coloring! YL TIP: Do you use bath time as another way to help your little one unwind before bed? Pick the perfect essential oils to create a relaxing atmosphere! Be sure to add Lavender for a calming aroma that will prep junior for bedtime.
