25.01.2022 Basil, youre my bestie! I was walking the puppy when the rain hit. We took refuge under a tree, hoping it would pass soon. Unfortunately, there was a colony of ants who took exception to my visit, and, without me realising, climbed up my leg. When I decided to head back, a few bit me. WOW! The pain was incredible! Thankfully, we werent too far from home, so Ive stripped and added basil and lavender to the bites, which is helping. Ill continue to apply, and take some TriEase (or lemon, lavender and peppermint), and hopefully the reaction will be gone by the time you read this.

23.01.2022 I love my bath! I can soak in it for hours! My cat and my dog arent quite as sure, but come in to check on me (and taste the water ) What I use depends on what is going on for me, but as I like to soak before bed, usually uses at least one of these. What are your favourite combos for the bath?

22.01.2022 Day 5. Lavender is really good for aching heads. Just be careful not to get it into your eyes. You can also combine it with frankincense and peppermint if you have a particularly sore head (dilute with sensitive skin).

21.01.2022 The heat is coming! Are you ready? I love these combos to help me stay cool and calm (and lots of cold drinks and hiding inside!)

21.01.2022 Day 13. With these lovely evenings, and beautiful days, we spend a lot of time outside. Unfortunately, so do lots of bugs! You can combine lavender and tea tree with a carrier and apply it over exposed skin, or spray around your area to become less attractive to guests with more than 2 legs. Reapply as necessary. You can combine it with TerraArmour (the repellent blend) if you are particularly tasty. (Sadly it wont work on children who want to eat your special nibbles and not the ones you made for them!)

21.01.2022 The best way to cope with a stressful or busy week (which doesn't include chocolate or alcohol), is receiving the AromaTouch Technique. I was very fortunate this morning to be lying on a table while an awesome lady gave me the most nurturing experience as she put oils on my spine, ears and feet. I am still floating! If you know someone who can give you this, hit them up as soon as possible! If you want to be someone who can give this experience to others, there are lots of classes. If you're in my team and you want one, let me know!

21.01.2022 Yay! My mother in laws present has just arrived! (Shes not on Facebook, so its okay!) I have loved the effects of the 15ml I got in the convention package, and know that she will too. Such a pretty box - I wish I could see inside!

21.01.2022 Merry Christmas! I hope today brings you everything you want!

21.01.2022 This is awesome! How do we learn these rules when they arent taught?

20.01.2022 December is the month of frankincense, and what makes it so amazing is that you can get it for FREE! (Let me know if you would like to take advantage of this!) I use frankincense most days, either in my diffuser or on my body, simply because it is one of the best all rounder oils. These images are just a few of the ways I like to combine it with other oils from my collection.

20.01.2022 Day 12. This is a great way to get the effects of lavender fast. I tend to do this when I am really struggling to sleep, and I find that it is really effective. If you dont like the taste, you can pop it into a veggie cap.

18.01.2022 I love my bath! I can soak in it for hours! 18.01.2022 Im ready for Christmas! (My husband however...) I have done my shopping, cleaned the house, and sorted my oils. This year I am going with simple.... <3 Peppermint on my feet for the crazy early start to the day (and to keep me cool if it gets too hot) <3 Peace Touch on my boys in an attempt to keep them vaguely human. <3 Balance and Citrus Bliss (Groovy Tuesday) in the diffuser to boost moods yet still bring a bit of balance. <3 DigestZen and Zendocrine over my tummy and liver when I overindulge (because its seafood and champagne day!). <3 Bedtime will be a couple of Serenity softgels, and lavender in the diffusers. I hope you have a great day filled with whatever brings you joy!

18.01.2022 Its that time of year when we think about what we want for the next year, and look at ways to make it happen. Oils are a great way to support ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally. For 2019 I am going to be a lot more gentle with the way I talk to myself, and actually look after myself rather than doing the minimum. Thankfully I have a full set of oils and family and friends to keep me going! What are you doing?

16.01.2022 Day 6. This is the use the clumsy and most parents employ lavender for. Not only does it help the body recover, the calming properties are good to help settle the emotions which may be wobbly after the shock of the accident. (Of course, if you just cut yourself shaving, less shock and more blood may be there, in which case, add some helichrysum).

16.01.2022 My 9 year old just informed me that he doesn't want to use the file dividers that came in his book pack, rather he wants the ones he had last year (which I saved to use myself with stickers). As stickers weren't going to cut it for him, I had the brainwave to try the awesome lemongrass oil! 1 drop resting on the permanent marker and then wiped off with a tissue, and boom! New file dividers and a happy boy!

15.01.2022 If youve been following me for a while, you will know that I love to make my own blends, either for the diffuser or for aromatic dressing. Rather than pop some oils into the diffuser, smell it, add a different oil, smell, add more of this one, add more of that one and end up with a combo thats not that great, and uses 30 drops, I smell it from the bottles. To start with, decide what you want to achieve with your blend, and pull out all of the oils you have which will suppor...t this goal. Then, you can choose a top, middle and base note and see how they work together. (The notes are good, but not essential). Adjust the heights of the bottles to see if they work better at different concentrations. If one oil is too strong, or not working, swap it out. When youre happy with it from the bottles, pop it into the diffuser, and be happy that you didnt waste any of your precious oils to make such a good combo! See more

15.01.2022 I talk a lot about how I use my oils, but I dont often mention that there are lots and lots of benefits in having your own account. One of my favourite bonuses is the Product of the Month, which is where doTERRA gives you free stuff just because you are ordering monthly (and if you are using your oils, you need to!) This year we were given nearly $200 worth of oils, and could have earned at least 375 points (which equates to lots more free stuff, this time our choice). ... These figures dont take into account the 200 point specials which included Salubelle, Ice Blue combo and the amazing frankie! If you would like to make the most from your account, or even start it now, please send me a message and I will be happy to help!

15.01.2022 I have shared here before about my struggles with my mental health. These last few months have been really difficult, and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful support system of family and friends, and my oils of course! My worry and anxious feelings have been peaking over the last two weeks, and I have been finding it very difficult to show up, both here and in person, so thank you for persevering with me. I have been reaching for my little bottles of magic as they help ...keep me from spiralling too far away. I have been using a lot of Courage Blend (equal parts of Lavender Peace and Balance, with a bonus bergamot and vetiver when things are really tough), as well as bergamot, Balance and lavender in the bedtime diffuser. I am also reaching for my Serenity softgels so I can sleep at night (because without sleep everything is much harder!) The new kids oils have been getting a workout too; Im glad I got my own kit since the boys took one each! Stronger and Brave have been really supportive. The point of this post is to remind people (myself included), that sometimes it is enough to get up and make it through the day, and that you can try again when you are able. See more

14.01.2022 Day 8. If youve spent more time in the sun or wind than you anticipated, your skin may be red and sore. Aloe is great at moisturising and cooling raw skin, and lavender enhances these properties. Ideally you would crack open a leaf, add a drop or two to the goop and smear on the red parts. Reapply as needed. If you dont have any aloe, you can add lavender to your moisturiser or carrier oil.

13.01.2022 Day 10. This is a great way to help your muscles relax and release tension. It works really well if you can convince someone else to rub it in too! I find that when my back is aching, a combination of lavender and blue tansy in FCO works really well to relieve the discomfort. If you try it, be aware that for some, the blue tansy will stain your skin for up to an hour, and clothing longer.

13.01.2022 What makes a great Saturday afternoon? When a friend and team member calls and asks about one blend, then pops over to smell it, and leaves a couple of hours later, having gone through all of them! (Note the coffee beans in the background to refresh our noses!)

12.01.2022 Day 14! Lavenders soothing properties are great when you have an itchy bite or irritated skin. You can combine it with a blend like Purify if youve had a bug bite, or frankincense if youve been roughhousing too much. Add a carrier like FCO or a moisturiser to help spread it out, and to keep a lot of the effects localised. This is also the last day for our getting to know lavender series; what did you think? Did you find a new use for lavender, or at least a greater appreciation for this gentle yet powerful oil?

12.01.2022 Day 7 I am not a cook, more of an eater! This is a great tip, and lavender works well in chocolate, scones, jams and marinades. It blends well with citruses too.

11.01.2022 So I walked into a door this morning (really a cupboard that wasn't shut) and split open my eyebrow. So much blood! A drop of #helichrysum calmed it down, and I'm rubbing a bit of #rosetouch on it every so often so I hopefully can continue my moonlighting as a supermodel ASAP

11.01.2022 This is one of the most useful collections (once you have the Home Essentials of course!). I love to use the oils separately, but when you combine them, magic happens! Try Courage Blend for dealing with the crowds; Groovy Tuesday for dealing with your family; Liquid Sunshine for dealing with the fact its just a few days until Christmas!

11.01.2022 Day 9 This is another way you can deal with feelings of overwhelm and stress. Just a drop in a veggie cap taken ideally before you head into the stressful situation. If you are in a long term place of stress, you can take it as needed, and I would suggest that you also look at supporting your adrenals.

10.01.2022 Day 11. We have talked a lot about the awesomeness of lavender to support healthy skin, and it applies to the skin on our heads as well! You can either add a drop to your shampoo or conditioner in you hand while in the shower (be careful of slippery glass!), or you can add more to your bottle. Ideally you will let it sit on the skin for a while. I like to add a drop or two to a hair mask before I shower and then wash it out. A very simple way to do this is to use solid coconut oil and lavender, combine and rub through your hair. The floor of the shower can become slippery as you rinse it out, so please be careful.

08.01.2022 Lavender is really good for supporting the skin. Adding a drop to your moisturiser, especially if youve spent time in the sun or wind, will help your body to recover. For an added boost, you can also use frankincense. I like to use the unscented body lotion with lavender and frankincense, as it goes on well, is light and works beautifully. Whats your favourite lavender moisturiser combo?

08.01.2022 My 9 year old just informed me that he doesnt want to use the file dividers that came in his book pack, rather he wants the ones he had last year (which I saved to use myself with stickers). As stickers werent going to cut it for him, I had the brainwave to try the awesome lemongrass oil! 1 drop resting on the permanent marker and then wiped off with a tissue, and boom! New file dividers and a happy boy!

06.01.2022 Day two with lavender! One of the most classic uses for lavender is sleep, and thats because its extremely effective. You can rub a drop or two on directly, or you can add it to a moisturiser and have a great nights sleep and wake with soft feet.

06.01.2022 The best way to cope with a stressful or busy week (which doesnt include chocolate or alcohol), is receiving the AromaTouch Technique. 03.01.2022 I am so grateful for aircon, and the amazing bodies of water that we have so close to home. Yesterday we went to Lake Leschenaultia with friends and had a great time. Today were at home making sure that we are ready for a week of family, friends and fun without feeling bad that the housework hasnt been done. These blends are making a difference! Peppermint touch on my wrists for energy and cooling, and the cool down spray whenever I am getting too sticky. My diffuser is pumping spearmint and Citrus Bliss - its bright and fresh and keeps me happy. How are you beating the heat?

02.01.2022 Happy New Year! I ran a 31 days of Frankincense with my team last month which was created by someone else. It was great fun, and so I thought I should do a similar one for the most common oils. I am starting it today with the amazing all-rounder of lavender. Please feel free to comment how you find each use, and play along!

01.01.2022 So I walked into a door this morning (really a cupboard that wasnt shut) and split open my eyebrow. So much blood! A drop of #helichrysum calmed it down, and Im rubbing a bit of #rosetouch on it every so often so I hopefully can continue my moonlighting as a supermodel ASAP

01.01.2022 Day 3! I really like this combination. Lavender is great at calming the emotions and wild orange is happiness in a bottle. The two combined are very good at bringing you back from overwhelm. Another oil you can try instead of wild orange is bergamot which is very good for lifting the mood while having a strong settling effect. I like to drag my hands through my hair after I have breathed in three times so the scent lingers with me as I go about my day.
