20.01.2022 The sweetest! Then something like this happens, and it’s all worth it. (Via @momsplaining)

19.01.2022 This week is National Infertility Awareness Week... #niaw and in honor of all the babies we will never get to meet, I am sharing a blog post I wrote in the midd...le of going through one of our miscarriages. Struggling with infertility is like going through the five stages of grief every single month. You deny its happening, bargain with a faith that's already been shaken, get angry with yourself and everyone around you, cry - oh boy do you cry, and eventually... you accept it. & then you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and do it all over again. Although this is a sadness I will always carry with me. I encourage anyone who’s ever been through an infertility journey to share their story and break the silence! This is all too common and there’s such a shame factor to it when you’re going through it. It’s lonely; it’s not fair. It’s a hurt that can’t be explained... Know that you’re not alone. There’s so many other women going through something similar, who get it and who are there. Never lose hope!! xxo, Koiya

17.01.2022 So proud of my daughter and son-in-law, Fiona & Tom. Harry is making steady progress, thanks to modern medicine and the love of his parents. Their strength and courage is admirable. Forever grateful to Ronald McDonald Charities for providing them a home away from home and much needed support while they're so far from their families. Thanks also to the many friends and clients who have kept them in their thoughts and prayers.

16.01.2022 "For my most recent delivery back in November, I was so grateful to work with a team of labor and delivery nurses who are Spinning Babies trained. It made all ...of the difference in my labor. I wanted to share a picture with you of myself and two-year-old daughter. When she saw me doing the inversion, she flipped right over to mimic. Thought you might enjoy!" Congratulations, Jess! The Forward-leaning Inversion is a classic here at Spinning Babies. Create room in the lower uterus. Baby will use that space, with the natural pull of gravity, to snuggle into a more ideal position for birth. Learn more! http://bit.ly/SpBFLI

13.01.2022 Our discussion topic this month is 'dads and birth partners'. We will be giving particular focus to the role of the birth supporter in our groups this month, an...d you can find your nearest via https://www.positivebirthmovement.org/groups/. All of our groups are either free or very low cost to attend and welcoming to all. And of course, for now, they are taking place via the wonders of zoom. We'd also love your birth stories and images from the perspective of dads, same-sex partners or other supporters at birth. Please send them and we will try to share. Supporting birth is a vital role and there are lots of proactive steps you can take to educate yourself so that you can feel really strong and useful during this roller coaster ride. For example, by understanding the role of oxytocin in labour, and how it can be increased by a woman feeling safe, cosy and uninterrupted, a birth partner can take on the job of protecting the birth space and making it as oxytocin rich as possible. Find out more by joining one of our zooms this month and of course, bring your birth partner! #positivebirth #positivebirthmovement #fathers #dadsatbirth #birthpartners #birthsupporters #oxytocin #onlineantenatalclasses

12.01.2022 "My body knows how to birth my baby."

09.01.2022 Pick them up. Cuddle them. Respond to them. The concept of a child needing to sleep through the night is a cultural concept...not the biological norm.

08.01.2022 I continue to be in awe of my daughter and son in law who despite the challenges they were facing, made every effort to publicly support RMcD in recognition of all the help they received. STILL TIME TO DONATE and a local Townsville company WILL MATCH ALL DONATIONS up to $2000.

08.01.2022 Always important but more so in these restrictive times

03.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone who sent well wishes, thoughts and prayers over the past few months...and for those of you who have had appointments postponed or delayed when I've had to go to Townsville. Your understanding has been appreciated and I'm unbelievably happy to share the news little Harry is home for Christmas where he was meant to be. Wishing you all the joys and blessings of the Christmas Season
