04.01.2022 I Love easy Diy's, don't you? I've been making my own liquid hand soap for coming on 2 years now. It's easy to make your own liquid soap and can save you a few extra dollars. The question I've been asked a few times... Does it turn out like the stuff from the shops? No, it does not, but I'm ok with that. The consistency is not as thick but you can create different scents using your essential oils! ... Most scented products use essential oils. They are fabulous at incorporating into diy skincare, hair care and even your day to day cleaning products. Today, I wanted to share some recipes I use to make my own hand wash. I use unscented castile soap as one of my core ingredients. Castile Liquid Soap is made with natural ingredients and it contains no nasties. It's non-allergenic and suitable for people who are chemically sensitive. So why not make your own hand wash. Dispense in a soap pump container for hand washing. Some scents I've used include: * OnGuard * Lime, Litsea and Tea Tree * Tea Tree, Wild Orange, Rosemary and Lavender * Cardamom, Cassia, Clove and Ginger * Lavender and Frankincense * Citrus Bliss and Peppermint * Balance, Lavender Peace, Citrus Bliss, Rosemary The list can go on and on. Honestly, have a play with your fave oils and come up with scents you will also love. Most recipes call for 10 drops of essential oils but I use as many as 15 to 20. NOTE: When using essential oils remember to use them safely, less can be more and some oils are considered "hot" oils. I will do a follow up post during the week on hot oils. For now, why not give some of these diy hand wash recipes a go. MelB xx
