25.01.2022 My favourite DIY Perfume! I have this in one of my pretty 30ml spray bottle. If you like your pure-fume stronger then you could double the double up on each of the drops.... I use witch hazel but if you prefer alcohol then substitute it for the witch hazel. What’s your favourite DIY pure-fume?

20.01.2022 Have you been experimenting with blending Citronella? I am always so impatient and buy the new oils at the Global Convention It makes a lovely pure-fume....great when those mozies are out and you don’t want to smell like a walking insect repellant. But, did you know Citronella is much more than an insect repellant?... Its supportive for skin issues from your feet to your whole body with it’s anti-fungal, bacterial, cleansing and astringent properties. These properties also make it another essential oil option to add to your DIY cleaning products too. But, my favourite use is to add it into my sleep routine, as like lavender and rosemary essential oils, it contains linalool to assist our bodies to feel relaxed. However, for some people, lavender and rosemary essential oils can actually be stimulating, so if you have this reaction then you might like it to fight fatigue and try it during the day when your at home. Alternatively, try blending it with other essential oils and just using a little bit. For me, and I found this interesting the first time I used Citronella, if I use it on it’s own I get very sleepy. I guess you can say, it makes me feel very relaxed and I just can’t fight sleep. I therefore choose to blend it, and use a small amount so I’m getting the benefits of the oil without a sleepy side effect. I am keen to hear how you react (pop it in the comments). 20.01.2022 These gorgeous yellow aventurine chips remind me of balmy summer days. It is purported to calm and balance the mind to allow one to focus on their intentions. My purefume rollerball blend today has yellow aventurine crystal chips in it. I can honestly say I had a very productive day in the office. I picked out the blend from my personal collection purely because the crystals matched my dress! ... The stone also represents prosperity, creativity. We can all use some of that, right?! 19.01.2022 I have been adding to my indoor plant collection in the past few months, and I have noticed little bugs flying around the house. Not sure if they are from the potting mix or plants but they hang around the plants. So, I have ramped up diffusing around the house each day and pulled out a few more diffusers. I have also wiped citronella with diluted onguard cleaning concentrate on a cloth around the pots and dropped cedarwood essential oil into the soil each week. Happy to say ...its all working, although we still have a few BUT its totally working. What are your low tox tricks? I would love to hear. 13.01.2022 Let me introduce myself, as we have new followers here. I’m Tracey, the person behind Essential Olie. I work full time, and dedicate my other time to my passion Essential Oils aka Olie (it means oil in Danish). I am passionate about using clean products and getting back to nature as much as possible.... I also love bushwalking. We live in Sydney near a national park, and my parents are in the mid-western region of NSW. On the weekend my hubby, girls and I went to visit my parents, and spent precious time with my family. Life is a little crazy so we don’t get to see them as much as we would love too. But, felt blessed and prayed for those that currently can’t spend time with loved ones. On Sunday, we went for a 9km walk to Castle Rock then climbed the rocks to take in the breathtaking views of mother nature. Hubby and I both took a day off work to make it a long weekend, so before we left to come back to Sydney yesterday, I went for a walk with my dad around the block - down the road from my parents place, down a laneway, stopped to chat to the cows and to take a photo of the pretty but toxic pattersons curse, up the road back down a laneway and home again - a quick 4kms! It was a good end to STEPember! Now for a short week this week, and for a long weekend catching up with washing and cleaning shoes.

12.01.2022 I selected each pure essential oil in my Serenity blend for their calming properties. When selecting essential oils I consider the scent and perfume notes of each essential oil. This special blend contains pure essential oils of bergamot, marjoram, vetiver and ylang ylang. I have also matched the essential oils to crystals, as I love my crystals! Rose quartz the stone of unconditional love is the perfect rollerball for this blend. 09.01.2022 With the cold weather I love nothing more than to dust off the slow cooker and make a hearty meal. What’s your favourite hearty meal? Mine is lamb ragu... Last week my girls spent the week with my parents in Mudgee so we made a big batch of lamb ragu so we had a couple of ‘easy’ dinners defrosting and reheating ragu serving it diiferently each time. My favourite is to serve it with sweet potato or cauli mash - a dollop in the centre of the plate then ragu over the top. It also makes a warming meal for lunch with my fav brown rice gluten free pasta and english spinach and olives - like a warm pasta salad. Check my recipe out in the blog section of my website. 07.01.2022 My love for buddha wood continues. Today I received an early morning message from my sister to tell me she added Affirm (aka Align) to my Nurturing diffuser blend and it was ah-mazing. She said it gave her a good energy boost and smashed through her work. I know I am feeling exhausted at the moment so I am reaching for energising and calming oils. How about you? 07.01.2022 Labradorite Chips: the photo really doesn’t do this crystal justice. I love the grey tones but then when it moves the rainbow flashes are stunning bringing true meaning to me of its name, bringer of light. I love adding crystal chips to my perfume bottles and clear rollerball bottles (both sold on my website). 01.01.2022 A windy day missing my afternoon bushwalk decided to bake gluten free weet box slice for school lunches instead! Buddha Wood is pumping in the diffuser to bring the scent of nature and invoke the calming feelings blended with eucalyptus. I have been drawn to use alot of eucalyptus as I feel completely drained so its giving me a much needed boost.
