20.01.2022 Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. Now that the massage ban has been lifted, I am *open* so feel free to book an appointment. As long as your massage is health related, it is considered essential and is allowed. This can be pain/tension related, mobility related or for mental health. I have undertaken government health training for protecting against the spread of COVID-19 and I have the following procedures in place (note that most of these were already in place before t...his virus): 1) Hand and forearm washing before and after massage, and after handling used towels. 2) Massage table cleaned between each client and I always use fresh sanitised towels on the massage table. 3) Cleaning surfaces between each client, including door knobs, tables, and anything else my client has been in contact with. 4) Weather permitting, massage will be undertaken with the door and/or window open for plenty of fresh air. 5) I am limiting to 3 clients a day at my home clinic, with plenty of time between clients to air the room out, and limiting up to 4 clients a day generally (I do massages at my place and in other people's homes). 6) I diffuse essential oils in my clinic room to help purify the air (yes there's science behind that, some essential oils are anti-viral and suitable as air antiseptics!). 7) I do not massage anyone with infectious illness or fever, or anyone who has come into contact with someone with COVID-19 recently. 8) Just as an extra precaution for my clients, I am choosing not to do facial massages at this time. If numbers in Australia drop even more then I may offer this again. Viruses are spread through droplets and as I'm cleaning all surfaces the risk of catching it is very low. You can book online here: https://www.essentialrestorativemassage.com.au/book-online COVID-19 safety measures are in place, with limits to the amount of clients I see in a day. So I will limit to a maximum of 3 people per day at my home clinic, and a maximum of 4 people per day generally (including mobile massages). I have done a risk assessment and I practice responsibly to ensure my client's safety, including sanitizing the clinic environment between each client.

15.01.2022 A great article on Essential oils and Coronaviruses with safety concerns addressed. Although currently there are not any studies indicating any essential oils that could help, you can certainly use essential oils to calm any stress related to this situation. There are also essential oils that help with immunity, colds and influenza that may be helpful for symptoms but we cannot know for sure if they will assist with COVID-19 given it is a different type of virus. Of course if... you are having trouble breathing you should seek medical treatment immediately. I am an aromatherapist.
