25.01.2022 22 reasons to give to ESTHERS this EoFy #2 There will always be fear. As long as you live you will experience new fears.... When women seek our help they often don't realise it but they are already overcoming fear. Fear of not being enough. Fear of failure. Fear of the unknown... In order for the women who we work with to grow we introduce them to new challenges, and with those new challenges comes more fear - fear of things they have never tried before, faced before or even failed at before... With every new challenge, there will be a degree of fear. Accepting that fear is a natural part of life is key to Empowerment. Over. Fear. YEAH! #thisiswhatwedo Can you donate $22 today? 66 people donating $22 will see 22 women in your local area empowered and moving forward. 23.01.2022 Our friends at Child and Family Centre Chigwell reminding us of the importance of taking care of ourselves, so we can keep up with taking care of those who we love....

23.01.2022 CALL OUT TO ANY BUSINESSES WHO MIGHT WANT TO BLESS SOME MAMA'S..... In response to Covid_19, Women on the North West Coast are being moved to either Launceston or Hobart to have their babies. Not only do they need to have their babies without their partners present but also have to deal with the added burden of being away from family...in some cases for days waiting to go into labour. So we got together with a few ladies and businesses on the North West Coast and decided to d...o something special for these mums. One lady has been particularly busy collecting donations and putting these beautiful packs together. But we could certainly do with a few more donations. The plan is to start giving the packs out mid next week so if you would like to donate please PM me. Anything from Hobart would need to be couriered up so we would send it all together and would need to collect by Thursday at the latest. Thanks for your support! #sharingthelove #supportingwomen #doingthejourneytogether #esthersaustralia #WilkinsonsPharmacy #LivetoStitch #CandleKitsch #MaryKay #Avon #YoungsVegieShed #WingsofLoveMinistries #KarenHorton #MyLittleHook

10.01.2022 Gaye is writing about the thing we need to hold onto most in this season...

10.01.2022 It's so okay to grieve right now. We are grieving with you. The new mum doing labour alone, the wedding with only 5, the funeral with just 10, an unwell spouse in hospital alone, the holiday you have been planning forever, not being able to just go have coffee at your favorite dig, no footy ....no soccer, no shopping ... What ever it is the struggle is real and it's okay not to be okay. Just please know you are not alone. We really are all in this thing together. ... 09.01.2022 22 reasons to give to ESTHERS this EoFy #6 Help us to give our families a hand up when life gets tough. We work with some of the most vulnerable families in our communities and the kind of help that always puts a smile on the face of a solo mum and her children is a hamper of food. A simple gesture that never goes unappreciated and always brightens a home... ... Our hampers include essential items plus meat and veges. But we can only offer these when we receive extra income to do so. 08.01.2022 Recently I have consciously added to my list of readings and podcasts writers who unearth the truths I hold that form the values that guide everything I do. Patreeya Thorn is one of these writers. She inspires me to dig deep and acknowledge the things that are most important to me, to embrace them and to work hard to make them real in my own life. Some people are naturally gifted with a kind tone. A softness, a patient timbre, a steady rhythm of breath like a metronome of... grace. I, like many people, hate listening to the sound of my own voice and have for years tried to temper this one note that creeps into it at times--it's an incredibly judge-y note that appears when I feel stressed or hurried. Who comes to mind when you think of a kind voice in your life? Kind voices are powerful because we don't expect them. We are used to much harsher voices, filled with disapproval and shame, tinged with accusation and fear-mongering. We spend most of our days listening to the less-than-kind voice of our internal monologues, tsk tsk-ing at something we've done wrong or repeating hurtful or condemning words we've heard in the past. Kind voices are not the loudest ones. They won't often make the headlines. But they're the ones you come back to, again and again. They're the ones that make you turn down the volume on your internal monologue and lean in closer, so you can hear a truth you've forgotten. The need for kind voices is greater than ever. And the opportunity to be one presents itself to us each day. Will you be a kind voice today? Will you send someone a message of encouragement? Will you respond to a harsh, frantic voice with a calm and gracious word? Will you speak truth when it matters most? We most easily echo the voices we hear. The harshest people are the ones shaped by the loudest din--inside their heads and outside of it. If you find yourself more easily reaching for a harsh sharp word than a kind one, perhaps you, too, just need a higher dose. Get quiet, and listen. May the voices you allow to shape you be the kindest ones." ~Patreeya Thorn~

04.01.2022 22 reasons to give to ESTHERS this EOFy #7 Enhancing Optimism. Finding YOU. Our outlook in life is so important, and yet many people never give it much thought. Cultivating an optimistic culture within the organisation spills over and into our work with clients. Just simple strategies like introducing gratitude diaries, accepting what you can and cannot control and the glass half-full theory begin to build positive thought patterns for our clients... ... Pschologist Kimberly Hershenson says. Constructing an optimistic vision of life allows one to have a full interpersonal world in spite of unfortunate circumstances ... [it] reduces feelings of sadness/depression and anxiety, increases your lifespan, fosters stronger relationships with others and provides a coping skill during times of hardship. When negative thoughts aren't dominating our minds we become open to new ideas, change and growth. Success. We can't change a persons circumstances but, we can help to find nuggets of gold within hardship. To find hope. To find YOU. #thisiswhatwedo Go to esthers.com.au to give a tax deductible gift today to vulnerable women in your local area. #22reasons #donatenow #esthersaustralia #esthershobart #estherssunshinecoast #enhancingoptimism #findingyou #eofy2020 #empoweringwomensince2014
