24.01.2022 It’s a full house at the 2019 Victorian Marine and Coastal Forum! @delwp_vic @victorianmarineandcoastalcouncil @coastcarevictoria
20.01.2022 Corangamite Catchment Management Authority recently hosted a community information session on Thompson Creek (Breamlea), with the objective to raise community awareness about estuary processes through a series of super short and intense presentations! Speakers featured estuary opening protocol, EstuaryWatch, citizen science programs (Orange-bellied Parrot and Hooded Plover program), Index of Estuary Condition, estuary ecology, Landcare and weed control...and lots of Q&A as seen here! Nice work on a successful event as demonstrated through an engaged room, along with positive feedback from community and stakeholders.
18.01.2022 EstuaryWatchers got a pleasant surprise when recording data on the mouth condition at Saint George's River this month. This beautiful art @breatheablueocean is viewed from Teddy’s Lookout, Lorne and is now captured as a photopoint in the EstuaryWatch portal http://www.estuarywatch.org.au/site/ccma/706 #EstuaryWatch #estuaries #greatoceanroad #lorne #saintgeorgeriver #citizenscience #photopoint #otway #rivers @ccma_citizen_science @corangamitecma

17.01.2022 With good quality assurance and quality control, citizen science data can be just as good if not better that data collected by professionals. All our Waterwatch and EstuaryWatch volunteers across Victoria are now taking part in our QAQC events to put their skills and equipment through their paces to ensure the data collected is valuable. Today it was Corangamite Catchment Management Authority volunteers chance to be a part of QAQC. #waterwatch #estuarywatch #waterwatchvictoria #estuarywatchvictoria #citizenscience #corangamite #qaqc #waterwaymonitoring #volunteer @ Meredith, Victoria

11.01.2022 An artificial opening of Spring Creek estuary was undertaken yesterday. EstuaryWatch monitoring is useful in coastal towns like Torquay to keep an eye on estuary condition, and assists in making management decisions.
