03.01.2022 Monday 1st June 2015 was our last day of trade at Essex St Fremantle. A big thank you to all our loyal customers for your continued support. We will do another post when we have found a new location. Linda & John

01.01.2022 Essex St Bazaar is dedicated to May Skender (our mother) who started a shop in the early 70’s called Memory Lane. Originally Memory Lane was created out of May’s pure love and passion of vintage clothing and accessories. May had an extraordinary talent of not only repairing & reinventing vintage clothing but designing items such as Hawaiian shirts & Handkerchief dresses created out of vintage scarfs and many more designs which were to greatly influence the Perth fashion indus...try in the 70’s. Bands from all over Australia would travel to Perth to meet May and have her design shirts and battle jackets for their upcoming tours. Some of the biggest bands in the 70's such as Mother Goose, Daddy Cool, The La De Das, Captain Match Box, Kevin Borich Express and Leaf are just to name a few who would frequent Memory Lane. Then there were the Australian celebrities, Australia’s top models and competing vintage shops & fashion agencies wanting to get a glimpse of May’s latest designs! Much of our items for sale are from our personal collection dating back as early as 1970. Essex St Bazaar is a funky shop that sells not only vintage clothing & accessories, but curio items, bric-a-brac, art, furniture, new and rare vinyl records, Time is limited so hurry in now for a browse and a touch of memory lane!
