24.01.2022 Hi Everyone, hope you all doing well and keeping safe. The State Revenue Office has published some official announcements in regards to the HomeBuilder Grant and the key points are below: Eligible transactions: ... _ New home contracts, home renovations and off-the-plan purchases _ All contracts must be entered between 4/06/2020 to 31/12/2020 _ Constructions must be commenced within 6 months from the contract date _ All applications must be lodged by no later than 31/12/2020 (the SRO is currently working on the online application) _ All construction works must be carried on by registered builder; owner builder will be excluded from this grant _ Total land and construction value for new home and off-the-plan property must be below $750,000 _ With off_the_plan purchase, the works can be commenced before the contract date but the commencement date must be after 4/06/2020 and the settlement must take place before 31/10/2022 _ The property must be your principal place of residence, i.e. you must live in the property for at least 6 months after settlement. _ This grant will not be applied for investment properties To be eligible for the grant, you must be: _ Natural person (not a company or a trust) _ Aged 18 years or older at the date of contract _ An Australian Citizen at the date of application _ Your 2018-2019 or 2019-2020 income must not exceed $125,000 for individual and $200,000 for a couple We hope the aboves have answered your questions.
