23.01.2022 I've had a couple of spots open up in this weekend's Introduction to Taxidermy - Rat Workshop this Sunday, 26 May 2019 in Brisbane! In this introductory taxidermy class I will be teaching the complete step-by-step process to create a finished small mammal mount. Learn a range of techniques including skinning, fleshing, preserving the skin, form preparation, mounting, posing, finishing touches and caring for your mount.... Cost $450 Inclusions: - 8 hours of training - Specimen and basic mount - Supplies and all tools needed - Step-by-step written instructions to take home so that you can replicate what you have learned at home These classes are an excellent introduction to small mammal taxidermy in which we use a dry preservative (a fast preserving agent on skins), and make custom posed mounts with carved skulls and wrapped forms, so you can choose exactly what position in which to pose your mount. 14.01.2022 Eclectus Parrot mounted recently for a client. He came up beautifully!

12.01.2022 Finally posting a pic of the bandicoot I prepared for NSW Parks and Wildlife Service last year for use by their rangers educating the public/school groups about... Australia's native wildlife. This bandy was a bit of a challenge - although on initial inspection it appeared to be in perfect condition, it soon became apparent that it had been attacked by a wild dog/fox/feral cat and was riddled with bite marks. The bacteria from the bites set in and caused a bunch of fur to slip out and required patching of many holes... 04.01.2022 Spent some time hanging out with this beautiful green tree python yesterday - it's a massive privilege to interact with such incredible creatures. Her name is ...Mrs Blue, her partner Mr Blue is in the tank behind me - sadly he passed away last year, but I was able to preserve him for his owners - he is an eternal creature now Mr Blue will be joining me at RepX - Brisbane's reptile expo being held on 25 March 2018 - I have a booth and will be displaying some taxidermy to promote preservation of beautiful creatures such as these.
