13.01.2022 I was very privileged to attend a seminar conducted by David Nugent this weekend at the annual Australian Counselling Conference. His passion, care and knowledge on the topic of domestic violence is incredible. I am not ashamed to say that it moved me to tears. David lives in Narre Warren and felt compelled to start his company many years ago to help all those affected by domestic violence. Please think seriously about attending this very special screening.

Some harsh statistics: - 75% of suicides in Australia each year are men;... - This translates to approximately 6 men per day in Australia taking their own lives; - Men in rural areas are at a higher risk of suicide; Time to change our thinking people! Stereotypical thinking of what constitutes being a real man needs to change. We need to reassure our children that emotions are human, regardless of gender; it is okay to be vulnerable; it is okay to reach out. If you know anyone, but especially a male, who needs help PLEASE encourage them to reach out. These statistics are just too sad....
