12.01.2022 Lauren and Conrad going to court to face charges of vandalism after being part of a community action which damaged a bit of lawn at NT Parliament House. IN a true example of what is wrong with our society they are in court when the TRUE vandals have official approval to destroy our landscapes, cultures and atmosphere. FRACKING is not on.

12.01.2022 Just tried to share some info about the UNCONVENTIONAL gas industry running rampart here in the NT with both Federal and NT support .... and it was not allowed due to the current dispute between the Federal Government and FACEBOOK. Whilst I do not agree with the level of power that facebook has and many other aspects of its operation I am less impressed with the FEDERAL governments high handed approach in this space at a time when we are all still reeling from COVID impacts.... The timing is crass and the idea that Joshy F is the chief negotiator pretty much means that the outcome is going to be less than optimum. Wasn't he the guy that blamed the SA blackout on renewables without a shred of information to back that statement up ! Isnt this the government that told the pacific islanders not to worry about their flooding islands ... because they cold come over here and pick fruit ! Makes me wonder if this is not more about feathering the nests of their right wing mates (Murdock) who owns 64% of ALL NEWS media in Australia .... See more

11.01.2022 One of the many things to be grateful about in the NT is the freedoms we have and the places we have to enjoy those freedoms. For those who are not so fortunate at the moment we hope that you can join us through our soon to be regular posts of hikes and other little adventures up here and gain some enjoyment there. To start us off is a hike that we did a few weeks ago ... no mention of blister is this one :)

09.01.2022 UNBELIEVABLE - Country in lockdown but still able to fly direct from Bali, overnight in a hotel in Darwin and then fly to remote mainly indigenous community of ...Nhulunbuy - WITHOUT being tested ! Without isolation - A friend who has a hotel in town called me to tell me these 5 people landed on his doorstep for accom as above ... he told them to go away ... then called the authorities ... who did NOTHING. Moral of the story ...so many to list but still people out there who do not care for your safety ... so take precautions. See more

07.01.2022 A little update from the North.... although the NT has only 6 reported confirmed cases of Covid-19 it is a brave and somewhat ignorant person who thinks that is the true state of things. With no figures on testing rates, very porous lockdown guidelines, a huge homeless itinerant population and a bit of good old fashioned she'll be right mixed in with a medical system which operates in a constant state of concern things are likely to get quite severe. As such we began our family isolation project last week. As for our little sole trading business ... we will sort that out on the other side of this. We are healthy, we have a roof over our heads and we have 6 whole rolls of toilet paper ... we are fine. Spare a thought for others who are not so. Take care and try and help the medical mob. Isolate yourselves.

06.01.2022 Can someone explain to me why Santos and Origin are allowed to move around the NT freely EXPLORING for gas and not even producing gas in the midst of a nationwide lockdown ? Are their workers immune to the virus ? Are they in isolation for 14 days before driving into remote areas and interacting with remote communities ? Do these sound like socially responsible companies ? CLOSE THEM DOWN.
