25.01.2022 Warning most of us could become much poorer as retirees. If the Government doesn't transition policy away from fossil fuels and the Super industry fails to divest from future stranded assets. Even if the greatest moral challenge, plus the environmental and social impacts aren't enough to sway some, investment return numbers speak loud and clear.... But beware of the greenwash...

23.01.2022 When is a fossil fuel NOT a fossil fuel? International research findings show triple the amount of long-term planet warming damage from methane or "natural" gas as previously reported. It's a "transition fuel" to a cleaner, greener energy mix they told us. My arse...... Just one more good reason to divest from all fossil fuels. https://www.smh.com.au//coal-gas-leading-to-quite-dramatic

21.01.2022 The coal-fired power bogey-man Don't let the truth get in the way...

21.01.2022 It's exciting times... When the National Energy Market needs urgent reform, the right of centre Government is desperately splashing cash; to create jobs by the hundreds of thousands and the top-end of town is spruiking green energy's potential to transform our economy, environment and create social good. It's the trifecta. Non-profit group Beyond Zero has been educating and promoting their ten-year transition plan for years and it seems the holes-in-the-cheese are finally li...ning up. In crisis there is opportunity. The left-leaning Australia Institute has today published an open-letter in the media to the Council Of Australian Government's (COAG) energy council. Technological developments; financial basics of risk and reward; public demand for action on climate change and the new Federal Cabinet created in response to Covid19 are coalescing - pun intended. So a rapid policy and funding outcome looks more feasible. As Bob Dylan sang all those decades ago "The times they are a changin..."

21.01.2022 Large-scale greening of super Divesting from thermal coal and dramatic cutting of carbon emissions Long-term investors know the climate risks and potential harms to people and the environment plus return on investment. That's their job.... https://www.smh.com.au//top-super-fund-dumps-coal-miners-a

20.01.2022 Why this shouldn't surprise anyone...

19.01.2022 Money talk$... New tech billionaire seeks to hit refresh on old tech and build on green tech. He's not alone. It's a win-win-win for society, the economy and the environment. In fact it's a no-brainer...

19.01.2022 Massive PFAS contamination near Maitland. Lack of corporate social, let alone environmental, responsibility. Is the NSW Government's EPA asleep at the wheel? Still or again? If it weren't for the media and local MP would any of us be any the wiser? What we don't know won't hurt us, right? ... Yep that's right, just till the toxins from old firefighting foams etc seeps into the land, overflows into creeks and then to the Hunter River, down into Newcastle Harbour and finally spilling into the Tasman Sea. Yep that's the very same sea which is connected to the Pacific Ocean which millions of people around the world are connected by and depend on. The problem needs to be fixed at its source. Now. Why aren't there funds available, in the form of bonds from the original polluting company, to clean up this horrific mess? It's like travel (used to be) if you can't afford the insurance then you can't afford the journey...

17.01.2022 DuPont is squirming... Nitpicking over whether 'Dark Waters' the film is "based on" or "inspired by" the truth. It's about PFAS and the company's role in contam...inating tens of thousands of people in West Virginia while manufacturing Teflon and other heat resistant coatings etc. Either way it's going to be an explosive motion picture Note to DuPont, as 'Dark Waters' stars big-name actors, this movie ain't a Doco

16.01.2022 What a novel idea Executive bonuses tied to reducing carbon emissions. Maybe we should try it with politicians at all three levels...

16.01.2022 As a commentator said yesterday "lots of people make a lot of money" putting so many (mostly black) people in jail...

15.01.2022 Great article about TOBACCO FREE PORTFOLIOS - "There was also, he said, rolling his eyes, a 'greenie option' for people who had a problem investing in mining, alcohol or tobacco." https://www.theage.com.au//oncologist-dr-bronwyn-king-name

15.01.2022 Well at least in SA the EPA is owning up to to it's shortfalls after smelter leaks. How about the EPA in NSW with PFAS?

13.01.2022 OMG Fiction is finally catching up with the truth. This movie, Dark Waters inspired by a true story, is due for release in Australia 20 January 2020.... It should put some additional pressure on the Federal and State Governments, corporations and investors. Truth is stranger than fiction...

12.01.2022 Divesting-doctors and nurses... Medical professionals lead the charge And why wouldn't they? It's their money. But with the member-profit superfund's good news; as always devil is in the detail...

06.01.2022 Brilliant article... By David Leser on our relationship with nature past, present and possible futures. Divestment from fossil fuels features as a highlight of successful action. While both frightening and chastening it is also hopeful. Be inspired...

03.01.2022 People and their funds have power - are you exercising yours?

03.01.2022 World first - how’s this?

02.01.2022 Yay Investors push to resolve the $10bn issue. We have so much power as direct and indirect investors if only we'd use it. Sound similar to PFAS? AND yes that's a "b" for billion.... Between $5,000 and $250,000 compensation for Roundup affected individuals. It all rests on the science to answer two questions; does glysophate cause cancer? IF the answer is yes, as indicated by three previous massive payouts, then how much exposure is too much? Oh yes and note how it is investor pushback that is a major factor in bringing this issue to a head @PFASdivestNOW https://www.smh.com.au//roundup-maker-bayer-to-pay-us10-bi
