25.01.2022 Hi everyone, I thought l would put a face to my name and the person who you speak to on the end of messages and the phone. My name is Kane Hudson and l am a Ce...rtificate IV Therapeutic Massage Therapist. I studied massage in 2018/2019 at the Australian Institute Of Fitness. Previous to my training, I had always been interested in studying as l had been doing friends and family massage for years anyway. Outside of massage, l have worked in Aged Care and Disability Services for the past 17 years. I feel that life has thrown me an incredible journey and l have been able to meet amazing people along the way. Providing support to people in any way l can is really important to me. Massage has given me a whole new opportunity to learn, develop and grow providing support to those who are in pain or just looking for some down time and to relax. 20.01.2022 "Hi. Sorry I haven't texted you back. I’ve been anxious and depressed. I haven’t had time to catch my breath, you know how life g...ets. I am so drained I can’t even collect the energy for the most menial of tasks, like texting you back or washing the one dish in the sink. The weather has been beautiful right? Yesterday I fought off a panic attack while I was driving. I had to pull over because my vision was blurred. I focused on how blue the sky was. I haven’t washed my hair in three days. I just want to sleep all the time, but if I told you, you would want to uncover a reason behind all of this, and there is no tangible reason you would accept as valid. How are you? I hope well. Let’s get dinner soon!" These are the feelings so many people deal with everyday, and it is hard for them to reach out and talk about it because it's always impossible to explain. With the support of Patrick, Jake took the initiative and handed his resume to numerous businesses around Adelaide. Within 2 weeks he received a job offer at a bakery and he is loving it. This is a massive achievement for Jake and we are super proud if his achievement. Well done Jake!!!!

02.01.2022 Support Coordination from Core extended! Disability Intermediaries Australia has learned that the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will announce tom...orrow, Monday 1st March 21, that the ability for participants to use their CORE funds flexibly to engage a Support Coordinator will be extended until the end of March 2021. DIA understands that the NDIA has extended this funding flexibility to give appropriate time for participants to transition to alternative support arrangements and/or seek a light touch plan review from the NDIA. DIA has worked incredibly hard to lobby and push for a positive outcome around this issue. Whilst DIA believes that this flexibility should remain ongoing, DIA welcomes this decision and will work with the NDIA and Support Coordinators to conduct as smooth a transition as possible. DIA would like to thank our members and the broader Support Coordination sector for their support as we have worked to try are resolve this matter with the NDIA and Government.
