21.01.2022 We are a new generation. And we want a new vision for the future.

12.01.2022 Dear Visitors to this site. by way of explanation about this site I am writing this post. I started this site a few years ago at the same time as I began my little Social Impact Business called Secret Gully Puppets. At the time I knew that my little business with the puppets was begun with an intention that may not have been transparent to others! My business name of Ethical Trading Australia was chosen because I want to work ethically in the world. I want to work ethically... in the world of business and more.. I want to contribute to anyone who needs and wants a way to make or share our beautiful puppets, stories and songs with children and others to bring joy to their lives, to contribute to a sustainable beautiful planet and to create a livelihood too. I have explained to many since then that it appears that we are selling puppets.. but in fact we sell the puppets as a part of a bigger whole that brings to life our intention to build and reconnect us with Nature because I believe we all suffer because of our disconnection. And our disconnection is part of a bigger disconnection than this. It has become clear to me that we are more and more disconnected from one another AND also more and more disconnected from ourselves in many ways that are not life serving. My recent years have been studying and applying a combination of self and organizational learning Change practices. I have traveled many paths in the worlds of Strategic Foresight and Leadership and Change practices. The puppets and the many wonderful grandparents and parents and children I meet drive me on. I am particularly drawn to the work of Otto Scharmer and Peter Senge and others at MIT and the Presencing Institute because I see in the work of Theory U the real possibility of transforming frustrations about our current world and dreams into action through the methods of co-creation with others. To this end, I have applied to host an event/ conversation .under the banner of Sustainable Living Festival in Melbourne in February about ways that Theory U can assist anyone to co-create any project at all to do with Business Ideas - or Not into action! the questions we can begin with are: whats bothering you most right now? what would you like to see changed? what excites you the most? and what scares you the most? the gathering will be held between Richmond and the City. It will between the weeks of 12th and the 28th February> I will post dates here as soon as I know.
