18.01.2022 We continuously hear of peoples accounts getting "hacked" and we find this a little concerning. Most people who are "hacked" have probably fallen victim to the age-old problem of poor (ok crappy) passwords that are used across multiple sites. If this sounds like something you're doing, maybe it's time to change your ways before it's too late. Where possible we recommend the use of passphrases over passwords with a different password for EVERY site you use. To make this simpl...er we highly recommend the use of a password manager. Many are free for personal use but in the scheme of things, they're not too expensive to subscribe to. If you'd like some extra information the guides written by the Australian Cyber Security Centre has produced are pretty good, we hope it helps you out. https://www.cyber.gov.au//a/passwords-pins-and-passphrases

11.01.2022 Have you or someone you know been scammed? If so there's a free service that may be able to help you out. IDCARE is a not-for-profit Australian charity that was formed to address a critical support gap for individuals confronting identity and cybersecurity concerns. IDCARE supports members of the community across Australia and New Zealand who have concerns about their identity or related cybersecurity. You can engage them to receive free practical and behavioural support if y...ou're a victim of a scam or fraudulent activity. They may also be able to help if you've lost of a loved one or a relationship breakdown and need help untangling joint accounts, preserving online content before closing accounts, managing a deceased person’s digital identity or have concerns about cyberstalking. They can also help assess digital, online and physical identity risks. If you'd like to learn more their website is: https://www.idcare.org

02.01.2022 A brief and amusing history of passwords we can all probably relate to. The scary thing is that even with these changes to passwords over the years, people still choose crappy passwords. If you need help managing your passwords drop us a line. https://www.facebook.com/watch/
