07.01.2022 Miao spiral earrings from Guizhou, SW China. They occur both in silver and in silver-like alloys. The diameter is usually something like 10 cms, as in this case. They were often made around the middle of the 20th century but also later. They show typically good Miao design and workmanship. A similar pair is illustrated on p. 259 of Truus Daalder's book *Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment*, as one of more than 700 large photos included in the book, along with extensive informative text on its 420 hardbound pages.
